Trinkets of Bat, Wolf, or Mistform - Druid

I was re-reading the rules for Trinkets and to some extent think it's a shame that they settled down on "you can bring as many trinkets as you like and use as many as you like, and use them as often as you like, under the restriction that you can only polymorph into one creature type per room."

This is because I could imagine some cool effects that could be tacked onto these Trinkets, but since any effect on a trinket becomes a slotless, always available, option for players at the UR+ tier the effects can't be very good.

It might be worth rethinking and making the rule you can only use one trinket per room, and only one trinket type once per dungeon. Then you could print more powerful effects on a trinket.

I'm not sure who the rule of "you can turn into a Dire bear, and then back to a Druid, and then back to a Dire bear, and back into a Druid and so on 5 more times all during one combat" is benefitting. However that rule eliminates the possibilities of a token like "Trinket Mistform - Prevent the next 8 damage you'd be dealt" - because under the current rules such a token becomes more or less "-8 to all damage" as UR+ players can bring as many Trinket MIstforms as the number of times they are likely to be dealt damage.

Love this idea, and possibly other similar Charms for other classes. I know most UR+ geared players wouldn't use them, but there's a LOT of people who play at the Rare level (with maybe a UR or two picked up over the years) who would love this.

A set of good class-specific charms would also help some groups bridge the gap into playing on higher difficulties.


I think single class items at Rare are usually a bad idea, because I imagine one important segment of players is new / token 10 pack players and having a token which there is a ~75% chance you can't use as the only rare you'll get is not a rewarding player experience.

I think putting those tokens in at Uncommon is a better option.

Or, the slightly unwieldly designs where one class gets a bonus on a usable by all or most token, e.g.:

Sneaky Charm - +1 to hit with melee attacks, or +2 for Rogues.

I liked the Sea Raider set bonus this year and would like to see something similar for future years.
I would like to see this reward those wearing the full set of Rare items with some extra preparedness for Hardcore level difficulty.

Monster Hunter set bonus (or some more creative name):
2-4 unique slots adds a total of +1 to melee & ranged hit, and +1 saves
5-7 unique slots adds a total of +2 to melee & ranged hit, and +2 saves
8-10 unique slots adds a total of +3 to melee & ranged hit, and +3 saves
11-12 unique slots adds a total of +4 to melee & ranged hit, and +4 saves

This is a much better design than my suggestion, completely agree.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

Vampire teeth , slot offhand , wearer heals 1 hp with successful melee attack. Ranger and monk can also use as a weapon .
