Have you looked it up in the TDb?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously.
Can we all please keep Hanlon's Razor in mind before making a comment?

Holy Symbol of Thor
I still think this should just be +damage and not limited to melee, for example throwing Thor's hammer feels like an okay use of the bonus damage. I do very much like turn undead as a free action and feel like that is a solid ability for the token.

Picc's Grindstone
This feels like an upgraded whetstone now, and I like it. I was pushing for it to be a runestone, but on further reflection there is already a precedent for an item like this in the game, and it is an honorary token, so I think it should go to print in this form.

Thanks! I think this Holy Symbol is an improvement, but I think we're still overthinking it. I think what people want most is just a functional reprint of Pelor, double damage on turn undead. Why not make this Holy Symbol a functional Pelor reprint (maybe with a small boost if that's considered underpowered now), and branch out to something new with the next holy symbol? And to be honest, I'd like to see the "Turn Undead as a Free Action" in a slot other than Holy Symbol, so it could be used with a Holy Symbol.

Question that I'm acknowledging in advance is very pedantic. Perfectly happy if the answer is "we will clarify this on TokenDB and the Quick Token Reference for 2025".

From PHB on what tokens a character can equip:
Many tokens are restricted to certain classes. The bottom of the token indicates who can use it. If there are no classes listed at the bottom, it’s usable by everyone.

Pg 47 however says:
If a token contradicts a general rule, go with what the token says

Shield Maiden Bracers say:
"+1 to saves & may equip Shield while wielding a 2-hand Melee weapon"

I completely understand here that the intention is likely to be that a fighter (for example) could equip a shield while wielding a 2-handed weapon like a greatsword.

But, I could see someone trying to make the argument though that it would let a Wizard wield a Staff of Focus + any shield in the game because the specific token rule (may equip a shield while wielding a 2-hand weapon) overrides the general class-restriction rule (The bottom of the token indicates who can use it).

Is this something that will get clarified in token references?

Thanks as always for letting us give input!

Picc’s Grindstone: It was mentioned before that this token is similar to Enchanter’s Whetstone. Would you gain the bonuses on both of those tokens when using a Rare weapon?

Shield of Guarding

Do you think the word first could be removed from the token. This way the Paladin could choose when to activate the ability once per game, rather than just negating the first hit they take?

I actually like the "first" requirement, it reigns in the power a bit on an overpowered token for the Paladin.

Holy Symbol of Thor: I like this version! Seems very on theme for Thor, and battle Clerics will likely prefer this while support Clerics may still prefer GHSoP. I myself am not totally sure which one I'd equip by default, which makes me think it's balanced.

I also really like the changes to Charm of Echoed Taunts and Picc's Grindstone

Shield of Guarding: would this be clearer as "may negate first melee hit you take while Guarding"? never mind this bit

Yes, my AC is lower than the Wizard's. No regrets!

Amulet of Folkvanger
Please just reprint Stu-pendous Pendent or Medallion of Valhalla. I can't think of a specific reason why creep is necessary here.

Holy Symbol of Thor
There is a slight bit of counter synergy here that it buffs melee damage but doesn't buff the damage of the FA turn undead. That said, FA turn undead is fantastic, so I'm onboard.

Picc's Grindstone
Not ideal as a slotless token. Reusable runestone is functionally slotless for many players, while also leaving design space for other reusable rune stones and giving a reason to use runestone bases.

Thor's Mug of Melee
I don't love giving +4 melee offhand damage to this token on classes other than Fighter / Paladin.

Since it's a cup, please consider +2 damage and a potion drinking ability. Some options would be:

1) Drink a potion as an instant action 1/game (previously seen as a wonder effect)
2) Drink a common or uncommon potion as a Standard Action without turning it in 1/game
3) Heal some amount of damage when drinking a potion

I think the idea here is to balance strength above dexterity, which aligns with the new stats that were proposed earlier in this process. I think this is a solid token for starting barbarians, fighters, paladins, melee rogues, melee rangers, and melee monks that don't have a legendary yet. Other classes will likely be looking for other items.

Paladin could get 5 OP tokens and still be underpowered overall.

I say let it work like shadowskin for guarding.

Count me in the camp.of not wanting the mug to be +4 (maybe 3 and a power)

Also vote to have Picc's take the runestone slot but not be turned in.
