I know, I just like it in the other or a different. I know the why, just not a fan of it. Personally, if there is gonna be expanders, I wish they would just all come out and be done so there isn't all the back and forth. If they're aren't, then we can put it behind us and focus on the parts of the game that do need help and ensure the health and balance of the game is at its best. I want this journey to continue for decades and decades to come where I can play with my kids and take them to the events and enjoy all the friends and family here far into the future.

Luna's is definitely going by the way side next year.

This is why I’ve been suggesting the bead expander be 1/2/3, as 3 beads makes it more of a decision vs Luna’s.

This is why I’ve been suggesting the bead expander be 1/2/3, as 3 beads makes it more of a decision vs Luna’s.

Tokens get better over the years. Look at older legendary that have little play value now.

If new tokens aren’t worth purchasing the economics of the game will fall apart. Some creep is required… the trick is keeping it as slow as possible while keeping the token market healthy.

I agree come creep is inevitable, but creep within 2 years should be heavily discouraged. We must also not forget that this game is also has a strong community of collectors, which I am not, but they are a considerable part of us. And also why the tokens have the value they do, if they weren't collectable then they wouldn't be as valuable. If we destroy the faith of long time collectors the token market will crash.

Like SRoEC, many people can't get it, but it was sold as a high value collectors item and we shouldn't undermine that and pull the rug out from long term collectors. We also should balanced that those effects shouldn't be locked away from new players. I don't think this Trilliant is the way to do that since it is power creeping one of those very rare collectable items. What we should be doing is trying to reproduce it in a way that keeps our old item having its own niche.

So I'll come back to my idea, if we do what I mentioned earlier:

I would suggest 3 types of reduction at legendary. Sacred, Darkrift and Force
If you want a bigger leap between legendary and relic, I'd suggest 4. Sacred, Darkrift, Force and Pyschic.

Unless this goal is to get new blood a similar effect to ring of elemental command for your design purposes. In that case I'd at least suggest leaving a type or two off it so it can't fully replace it.


If we did the above perhaps what we could do a later year (2026) is make the completion tokens transmute into two ring relics that give:
+3 Retribution Damage, +10 Fire + Ice DR (Ring of the Remorhaz)
+2 Saves, +10 Sonic + Shock DR (Ring of Thor's Protection) (Yeah, I know we're missing the Norse year with this one)

That way new players can obtain a similar effect to SRoEC and we don't invalidate a token a lot of our collectors put a lot of time and effort into obtaining.

Keeping them in the same slot also means its much more of a commitment to stack them, which means much easier to balance for in module/encounter design

+2 Fire DR (Ioun Stone)

+3 Fire DR (Charm)
+3 Frost DR (Charm)

Ring of Thor's Protection
+1 Saves (Ring)
+1 Saves (Bead)
+2 Shock DR (Ioun Stone)
+2 Sonic DR (Ioun Stone)
+3 Shock DR (Bead)
+3 Sonic DR (Bead)
+3 Shock DR (Charm)
+3 Sonic DR (Charm)

Ioun Stone Sunstone Trilliant: So very powerful. If higher difficulty dungeon design is going to be based around the idea that there are going to be a lot of people using these, it will be brutal for those who don’t have it. Suggest 3 damage types, maybe 4 at most.

Also wonder what a future Mythic version of this will have to look like.

I think Sacred, Darkrift, Force and Psychic DR would be a neat way to mirror yet not overlap with the ring, so that's a +1 from me.


Adding another +1 to this. The Trilliant remains pretty Legendary even without overlapping damage reducers
