Surtur's Arrow: rename to Surtr's Arrow, for consistency with the proposed Rare Surtr's Runestone and Surtr’s Girdle of Fire Giant Strength
Cleric main / Druid secondary

1. Sea Raider Gloves: should thes have the transmute URL? What do they transmute to?

2. Surtur's Arrow: is misspelled with an extra "u", should be "Surtr's Arrow."

3. Sea Raider War Oar: Rangers and Rogues can't use two handed melee weapons.

3. I'll take one more shot at getting "Sea Raider Buckler" renamed:

TD has 4 bucklers today:
* 3 are archers bucklers with the special rule that they may only be equipped when wielding a ranged two handed weapon
* 1 is a weird 2009 common ranger only offhand only weapon
All existing bucklers can be used by rangers.

I think it's a shame to introduce a "buckler" that doesn't follow the typical "buckler" rules, and can't be used by rangers.

For a historically accurate name this could be called a "Gokstad Shield" - these were round shields used by vikings affixed to the sides of the stereotypical viking ships (called Gokstads).

Or it could just be called a "round shield."

There's no rulebook restriction against Rogues using two-handed melee weapons, there are a few common ones they can equip already so I doubt one more will cause any problems.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

Fair enough.

Rangers need to be taken off.

One more pitch for the potion to also counter some kind of new/funny status effect. Dizzied, Drunk, Befuddled, Boggled, Squirrelified, etc

No idea what these would do, I just like it when they exist, you never know when you might for example encounter a monster that makes your excessively thirsty or sea sick.

War Oar: Love it, would prefer a version Wizards could use so 10 players could equip & yell "Stroke" when they slide, but I'll accept it as is for the 1-8

Boots of Fury become Sea Raider Boots. We're not even giving up a Norse god's name or anything. I'd prefer boots that could be worn by all classes, however. I'd rather have boots in the Sea Raider set than several of the current slots.

The druid shouldn't be able to use the helmet, and the bard should be able to use the shields.

Redundant or semi-redundant tokens that could be replaced, re-skinned, tweaked, etc:

Common Sea Raider War Club & Uncommon Sea Raider Battle Club: different enough as is, but the slot might be better used with something else
Common Sea Raider Axe & Sea Raider Cleaver: barely a difference, and one is almost totally better. Also not sure about Cleaver as a token name in the set
Common Sea Raider Club, Cudgel, AND Mace (also it's too late now but why did we start letting rogues use maces this year?): Super redundant, minor differences
Common Sea Raider Buckler & Sea Raider Shield: Exactly the same? Why?
Common Sea Raider Boar Armor & Sea Raider Fox Armor: Identical. Common all-class armors can be +4 AC or have +saves etc

These tokens should be changed to be usable by different classes, have significantly different effects, renamed & brought out of the Sea Raider set, or replaced entirely with other useful tokens, depending on what the overall year's demands are (if a set needs 3 universal melee one hand weapons, re-skin; if it doesn't, replace, etc).

Looks solid. There's some really good stuff in there for new players!

I don't generally like conditional stuff (like, "-1 damage from Cold") because newer players have a hard time remembering that.... I prefer stats that go directly on the Party Card... but since multiple items have the cold damage reduction, and that's pretty the only conditional on this set of commons, I think players will help to remind each other, as odds are good that multiple players in a given party will have access to that cold reduction, at various levels.

Also, I second what some others have said: Nice art!!

Sorry, my image says "All except Ranger and Wizard". Rogues: We have had a few of them for Rogues (2020), but you are correct. This is a change for 2025, and it should have been this way since 2003. Some of the Rogue class decision were based on the Rogue being a Halfling for a certain Tshirt tunnel in 2003. However, I think it was an error in 2003 to: 1) have a two-handed weapon not be the top damage weapon in its Rarity 2) the Rogue being left off of the user list

Thanks for the input here. The Commons are usually designed from the perspective of giving new players with a shiny handful of tokens a good chance at getting a simple armor and weapon token. We do have some functional repeats of some simple tokens, but that is by design. We don't want to burden the Coaches with a bunch of questions about subtle differences in lots of Common tokens, so we try to keep them simple somewhat. Thanks for the input, though!
