TOPIC: GENCON VIG Question

Hi All!

I'm hoping that one of the VIG members here might be able to answer a question. My friend is a VIG, and he says that if he buys more than one badge, he can reserve an additional room during the VIG housing window.

When I read up on VIG, it says "Hotel Registration
Each VIG gains access to the housing block. The VIG hotel block will opening still needs TBD. VIGs who are booking rooms may reserve one room for their VIG Package and a second room if they've purchased a Companion badge. If you do not reserve by (Date TBD) you can reserve housing from the regular attendee housing block, while supplies last." I interpreted that as meaning that the only way a VIG member can reserve a 2nd room in the VIG housing window is by buying a companion badge.

Can any VIG members clear that up?

Yes. You need to buy a companion badge. You get separate reservations for the VIG and the Companion. No companion, no second room.

They started that benefit after they reduced the companions from 4 to 2.
