I TPK'd five parties who went "all in" as the ToT room 7 GM on Friday and Saturday nights. Or perhaps I should say that they TPK'd themselves since I started letting folks willing to make that gamble determine their own fate with the die

What was the DC on the will save? We know we could auto pass with the skull, but we had players with huge will saves (25+) failing on a die roll of 15

We’ll have to wait and see if/when Jeff releases the module.

I know a few of us actually made the save on one of those two turns, but we were also running HC with some of the party having Epic-level saves. :P I don't remember what the nat roll was.

Yes, my AC is lower than the Wizard's. No regrets!

I thought they weren’t doing modules anymore?

Thank you, Jeff, for continuing to work so hard to bring these worlds to life. I did one of each run, and they were all phenomenal. We did have troubles with the puzzles in Darkhold - the blood streak puzzle was especially troublesome (we figured out what to do pretty quickly, but could only determine two of the actions out of the six). The green fog effect is one of the best I've ever seen. The pain demon combat is the first combat my party has failed in a very long time - we only had 5 players, and we just ran out of time!

Thank you to the awesome DMs and NPCs! Thank you to all the invisible, hardworking bluehands! Thank you to all the volunteers working check in and bag check and epilogue and set up and tear down!

VTD has been great, but there is nothing like being in the dungeon in person!

And I loved doing the Barb Beard run! Basically a sealed pack run, I decided to run as a class I've never done before - Welcome Breon the Fighter! I hit on every slide (although a couple times my puck got knocked out!:P ). It was a lot of fun trading tokens with other party members to make sure we each had something we could use.

Kermit rolling the same result twice and watching his reaction was hilarious that run too.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

I had a great time doing each run. Although I am fairly new, I really liked all the dungeons and got a full run of Darkhold Keep so I could bring a full group of newbies on it (aka my friends) and it was such a good time.

I did the same - I ran as Paladin instead of a wizard. It was fun, and I actually saved the wizard some damage by guarding him.

Jeff - thank you for putting together such a great series of adventures for GenCon and giving us such a great game and community.

I will say my favorite moment of any run was facing batterack and we all had to put our sliders into the slots, one of our players, Andy, saw a friend of his was in the same slot. He called out, wait - I have to move mine since he (pointing at a friend) has the worst gaming luck possible. Of course, the original slot got rolled and everyone in it died. Andy survived by just avoiding his friends cursed luck.
What do we want? Evidence based science! When do we want it? After peer review!
