Huge changes on the vol tokens, they went from 'ehhh" to "oooh!" I would encourage using the volunteer space for slotless tokens more often. Great way to limit their quantity and help the vols get more money from us heathens. Great bead, too. The martial players are going to enjoy it.

Could the TE work with Rare TEs, to give them a total of +3? That would put it in-line with the Charm of Treasure Boosting from 2019 (which is +1, but works with URs for a total of 3). The previous one took four monster bits, which I feel is honestly easier than acquiring 6 in-person completion tokens, so it feels bad for it to provide a little less overall benefit for players who are starting to work on Hardcore/Nightmare builds


It does give the treasure chips of an UR TE Bead or Nugget, so as a 4-star it is probably good.

To play off the idea of a vol relic program a bit.

What about doing something like announcing a vol legendary transmute(because its timeless) & a vol trade good. The transmute formula for the hypothetical vol legendary would be X vol trade goods.

Vols then get 1 trade goods per con (in addition to the whatever else we do for them).

Its simple, encourages repeat volunteering, and gives vols something to collect over time / sell if they're not into it.

So I'm going to take a different stance then most on the Volunteer UR's:

I suggest scraping them. Get rid of the Volunteer Tokens and replace them with a PYP program of some sort. Why?

Because what it's come down to now is that you have to make the UR Volunteer Tokens better than any other UR in a given slot to make it "worth" something to the Volunteer so they can potentially sell it on the secondary market. This ultimately screws with the UR rarity level and keeps pushing the power level up. Look at the Bead. It's going to be the best Bead in that slot at UR for those stats. Now your screwed next year or any year after if you want to do a UR Strength Bead, or Dex, or Con Bead that's desirable. If you do make a UR Bead that's better then you start encroaching on the Relics. And the Rare's aren't worth anything at all, except to collectors.

If you still want to give the vols a UR Token go for it, but make it on par with other UR's and create a PYP program of sorts that let's them select from current or former year UR Tokens.

It will help game balance and make it much easier for you every year with Token design.

I really like and appreciate the changes to the volunteer tokens. This definitely helps push people to volunteer more (at least it does for me). I don't know if we need a slotless every year but I love that the ankh is part of the set and the art is great. Thanks for all the consideration to us volunteers.

Vol URs tend to set an UPPER bound on UR power, not a baseline. Since they're considered UR+ AND have limited quantities available, they are usually between UR and Relic in power and worth more than a UR to help the vols with the financial side and the only time I see vol tokens get brought up during UR design is when someone points out that something is similar to a previous vol token, which means it needs to be toned down
