You think people would pay 10k for one mythic avarice? Wild.

Absolutely. Is it any more wild then spending 10K on a Pokemon card? 100K on a Pokemon card? Or 50k on an old baseball card? At least you can play a game with a TD Token. That old baseball card just sits there.

Some will make them. Most wont. Rods sell for 4K. People didn't think anyone would pay 1K+ for a Token when Legendaries were launched and they were wrong.

With Jeff creating lower Safehold levels so everyone can join in on the fun there's no harm in setting the bar high.

i'm of the opinion that safeholds should be put on hold for a little while. this would give TD more time to sort it out better and not have the rush/crunch effect.

It would make more sense if they cost around what a Legendary costs to just have the Safeholds make exclusive Legendary tokens and save Mythics for another day.

That said, Jeff has already said that the Mythic recipes would have a Legendary as part of their recipe. If you figure that the rest of the Recipe is at least what a Legendary recipe costs, that's about twice the cost of a Legendary already. I would hope that the TG and GP requirement for a Mythic is higher than that for a Legendary, because it just wouldn't make much sense that it wouldn't be.

And don't forget that you can only make five of each tier of Mythic before you have to go through all the safehold tiers again to make more. There's a huge cost in there, especially the second+ time through when the lower tiers aren't really providing you much benefit. So now you're looking at 3,000 units to get back to SH1 and then be able to make 5 more of each tier of mythic. With an announced 10 mythics at release, with 7 at T2, so the deep collectors will need to do at least up until SH2 again.

Even for the non-completionists, you will have spent about 5,000 units by the time you make your first T1 mythic (plus whatever you spend for side benefits like underlings and such). If you make five T2 and three T1 (to maximize your cost per unit savings), you're at around 2400 units in cost for each of your T1 mythics. Seems plenty high to me

safeholds, to me, feel like TD's way of trying to suck up trade items and gold, thus attempting to keep a check on the glut. there has got to be better ways.

I thought treasure maps were created to do that and they are in their second year and part of the proposed tokens for 2024.

In addition to that I think it's their way of giving us another avenue to better gear (and character advancement) without adding more and more slots.

I fixed that for you ;)

Ha! Nice. Well 5 slots are better than 50. With the two new tiers TD can cool it on more slots/expanders if they want to, hopefully they do.

Well, it probably won't cool down on the slot expander front because one of the mythic tokens is apparently a super slot expander. :)
