Here is the final cost of the Safehold V and Safehold IV - Under Construction tokens. All the other info that is presented about higher level Safehold tokens are a projected (i.e., "guessed") so don't worry about any feedback on those until the time comes. I did raise the Golden Fleece by one, and I am hoping that it stimulates some trading amongst older and newer collectors.

Thanks so much for your help! This is going to be fun.

Hey, did I miss an announcement somewhere - are we getting 2,000 GP Reserve Bars? The new recipe calls for 2 of those for Safehold V and I'm trying to make sure that I'm ready go for my group of 4. Thanks!

As AlanP said, Safehold V recipe should be 2x 1,000 GP Bar.

No issues with the current receipes for Safehold V Under Construction and Safehold V Recipes. I would still like to see some of the costs for higher tiers shifted towards the actual tokens themselves vs the Safehold but we can cross that path later.

Can you please clarify if the estimated cost of the Mythic tokens is IN ADDITION to a legendary as an ingredient?

I just want this to perfectly clear, because as stated (at estimated cost of 1000), Mythic 2 will be cheaper to craft than legendary tokens (assuming you have the safehold 2), and I am fairly sure that this was NOT the intent...but if it IS the intent, that would also be really good to know.

I second your question, but I think that estimated cost is in some sort of units, and not dollars.

The Mythic is five times the cost in units as a Safehold V. That would come out to something around this, which I'm not sure how many dollars that converts to. It still seems too low for a Mythic. There would need to be the Legendary and probably GP added to this:

10× Alchemist’s Ink
• 50× Alchemist’s Parchment
• 5× Aragonite
• 100× Darkwood Plank
• 10× Dwarven Steel
• 5× Elven Bismuth
• 10× Enchanter’s Munition
• 10× Golden Fleece
• 10× Minotaur Hide
• 100× Mystic Silk
• 5× Oil of Enchantment
• 50× Philosopher’s Stone

I feel like those that are constantly advocating for Higher and Higher costs for the Safehold recipes are looking at them in a vacuum - as if they are the ONLY thing people will be using transmute materials for over the next few years.

Relics and Legendaries are still going to be coming out and using lots of the TG resources for many players - as well as past Legendaries that some people have been storing up already to "finally" make that piece they've wanted.

With the Omni pieces - some "missed" opportunities are now open for players again - so that should soak up even more tokens.

Plus you have the sunk costs of all the PREVIOUS Safeholds to factor into that price for Safeholds II and I.

I find the costs for the Mythic Tier tokens already to be quite daunting - and see it being a challenge even for many Frequent Players and Buyers.

I guess I'm underestimating just HOW MANY tokens some of the Whales out there must have - because I don't understand the push to keep making these already extravagantly costly tokens even more expensive.

I'm not trying to force anyone to use extra tokens; I am doing cost comparison to what we already have available.

Firstly, I am not counting any of the previous safehold levels; there are bonuses for those levels that those costs are applied to. Sure, someone could argue that those benefits only cover part of the cost to make them and the rest should be considered part of the mythic tiers...but I'm assuming that if you are looking at mythics, you wanted the bonuses from earlier safehold levels already.

As proposed, safehold II is 800, then a mythic is only 1000. Even only making a single mythic is only slightly more than making a legendary (about 1500). And if you make all five mythics, it comes out to 1200 each...LESS THAN A LEGENDARY.
So, yes, I am suggesting increasing the cost of mythics; however my suggestion/assumption is that the Mythic recipes require a legendary plus the 1000 estimate, because a flat 1000 seems far too cheap to make sense.

I personally don't think the game should be designed around whales, the smallest percentage of the playerbase. This entire program is baffling to me for that reason.

I don't care about the recipes here particularly, but here's one way to think of it.

There are around 100 patrons slots, which means a small number of buyers are buying ~100x $8k packs in a year.

Just from those people's 8k orders, that's kicking out around:

50,000 Trade 1 tokens
3,600 Trade 2 tokens
5 million GP

That's enough to make around 400 Safehold V's, from a single year of 8k purchases. Then there are lots of collectors who's purchases aren't consolidated into some 8k order, treasure pulls etc..

If the Mythic tokens weren't going to cost significantly more than a Legendary, there wouldn't be much point to make Mythic tokens right now. It would make more sense if they cost around what a Legendary costs to just have the Safeholds make exclusive Legendary tokens and save Mythics for another day.

That said, Jeff has already said that the Mythic recipes would have a Legendary as part of their recipe. If you figure that the rest of the Recipe is at least what a Legendary recipe costs, that's about twice the cost of a Legendary already. I would hope that the TG and GP requirement for a Mythic is higher than that for a Legendary, because it just wouldn't make much sense that it wouldn't be.

People aren't advocating for higher and higher costs. I think others, like myself, think the cost structure should follow the cost progression that's already in place. Going from a UR to a Relic is roughly 3x the cost. Going from a Relic to a Legendary is roughly 3-4x the cost. If there are two new tiers above Legendary the first tier (Mythic 2) should be 3-4x the cost of a Legendary and then the top tier (Mythic 1) should be 3-4x the cost of Mythic 2. So based on rough math and using $100 for the UR cost your looking at a 3K or so price tag for a Mythic 2 and 9-10K for a Mythic 1. This may sound high but that's what folks said about the Legendaries. If these are how the costs shake out I think it will take most players many years to hit these top levels which I believe is TD's intent.
