I can’t think of a good way to allow volunteers access to the safehold program without it being easily exploited. Other than maybe give them the option of safehold V or a volunteer token. But I think anything past that might have problems.

I actually been thinking… I read a few different versions of the “ safehold box’s “ or “ crate “. Idk if it’s what they meant, but these creates could be basically trade good crates based just like the tokens. Size dependent on what they do over the year, normal and exalted. The normal consists of a set number of trade goods randomly selected just like treasure. All thrown in ( no fleece ) and when they mail them in the are redeemed at random. We could do larger ones with higher pull rates or the bigger could consist with fleece.. the issue is the value would have flux and if most think that there are way too many trade goods, then this is a bad idea. The reason I thought of this, is it will give these trade goods to them so they have ways to make their own. They could choose between vol R / UR or normal / exalted goods crates… what do you think ?

Before I posted earlier I was thinking about a token that was basically worth one unit of safehold purchase trading.
So you volunteered at this con you get your a token you can trade for a safehold 5, or you can trade 2 of it and a safehold 5 for a safehold 4, or 3 of the item and a safehold 4 for a safehold 3.
The problem I figured out really quickly with this idea if it was done as an and or instead of a volunteer token is that curtain people with more access to unknowing volunteers could exploit the volunteers lack of knowledge and probably get enough for a level 1 very cheap. I could think of know way that wasn’t a massive paperwork headache to stop that kind of exploitation.

I see what you mean, unfortunately I think you’re 100% right. It could be exploited easily and unfortunately would affect negatively. Maybe Jeff and TA can think of something, or it will have to continue with unique UR / R tokens + other things to comp those who work for TA.

Couldn't just making sure the volunteers know the value of their options (like we all do with volunteer URs) help with that? Or what am I missing here?
