Woohoo! This sounds like it's going to be a really great group.

I do like the idea of a costume theme. Even if we just want to cosplay our own character. It will help me figure out what I'm singing as well. HEHE

You can theme yourselves however you want but since this will be my wife's literally first ever live game of true dungeon, we will stick to just playing a straight game of true dungeon. So, if you theme yourself I would appreciate you choosing a theme that doesn't ruin the experience of a player playing for the first time i/e no pacifist or anything else that makes us struggle through combat.

It's funny, she is a 6th level player without having ever slid a puck, seen a character card, touched a prop....this will be her first taste of actual true dungeon.

That's so cool it's her first in person! Mine was last Gamehole Con and I totally get the desire to keep it as low key as possible. I remember it was so overwhelming with sensory overload. I think this is going to be a really great group and we will not at all put the pressure on for something weird. I know a few of this group and we are all chill as can be.

And I get the level 6 without ever doing in person. I was nearly there as well when I went to Game Hole Con last year. Congratz to her and can't wait to meet you all!

I am onboard with keeping it low key. Maybe something as simple as pirate optional - wear a hat, sport a skull and crossbones, or clip a parrot on your shoulder - but only if you want to… something along those lines.

Something that won’t be disruptive to the normal game flow.

We are both looking forward to this. I am a ghost tour guide so about a quarter of my yearly income is made in October. So I was unable to attend GHC and I certainly couldn't do that last minute hike to pax west so this will be my first live dungeon since before covid started. Game on peeps!!!!!!

Thank you all as she will be learning a whole new combat, spell casting, and playing style. This Gen con will also be her first Gen con.
