Hey Hacky,
Regarding the Barbarian, the app lets me equip the shield of the stag since mighty sling is a 1H weapon. Good thinking on putting cook's hat on the wizard. Wondering how many extra Beryl Prisms you have to borrow? Would be interested in some as options for the Barb/Rogue/Wiz. Also Jeff made a statement back in April boosting all bead slots to 3. It's reflected in the app as well. Screenshot attached.

Options I have for Ranger head slot:
Crown of Iron Will, or Crown of Treasure Finding and put on a different cloak.
Also, I have a Shoes of Speed, but it's just Infernal Boots with no downside.

I have 2 extra Beryl Prisms to lend out.

Well looks like I meant I could loan my bracers to hacky and not kendal, but kendal has a lot too haha. If it's cool, I'm thinking of borrowing the 2 beryls from hacky onto barbarian and wizard to raise saves for the party overall. Looks like hardcore won't be unachievable after all

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to our run through tonight! I went ahead and borrowed the Crown of Iron Will and Shoes of Speed. I also changed out my Cloak of Many Pockets (someone can borrow if desired) for a +2 Cloak of Resistance.

New stats are as follows:

Ranger Level 4
+2+1 melee 22 AC
+14/+6 ranged 23 AC
31 HP
10 // 19 // 10 saves

Personal lessons learned:
+1 AC was not worth 5 resist frost, would have prevented 15 damage. However...
Soul Stain Armor (heal 4 when other character dies) got far more use than I expected... but...
The combat environment matters. (all healing i did to myself doesn't matter if i do 53 shock to myself)

It was a lot of damage, but I'd do Hardcore again personally. Also showed me I'm not ready for Nightmare

Geez yeah, roughest hardcore difficulty I've played since I started td at pax south. Felt borderline nightmare with lower gear haha. Tells how much speculative planning for resistances and environmental difficulties will effect your success rate.

Still had fun, and hope to maybe try again. Possibly on normal to figure out the other puzzles and such, not that I'm against trying hardcore again. Just need to reevaluate and somehow gear stronger.
