So I just had another dumb Idea....
Rather than constantly needing to out do our previous attempts at UR/Relic/Legends and sets....
At a certain point we can settle on sets and power levels and think about another element of Set Construction beyond what we currently have to hopefully, simplify Token Discussions. It is also related to a new suggestion for Mithral, Redoubt, Viper Strike(or Any Future Set) that uses a Legendary and maybe relics.
1. If a Relic (maybe) or Legendary (definitely) is used to complete any set bonus, The set grants +1 Level in addition to it's other effects. Call it Arthur's Rule or something. (then just be careful to keep Legendary out of sets that already grant +1 level so as not to negate the set effect with the legendary. (Maybe in the Future they could be part of Level booster Sets and Multiple Legends in the same set could be ways to Grant Multiple Level boosts when/if it's necessary. Merlin's Rule. We're less worried about slot overlaps between sets as more UR/Relic/Legendary set items can be added to give build options with existing and future Relic/Legendary inclusive sets. Which is key to the next idea as well.
2. Dual-Set Bonuses. At First Generic but there could be Specific Combos of Sets that grant stats and/or Abilities beyond the two base sets alone. (Negating Tokens with set bonuses is just a risk we take as we will have tons of set options by the time this needs to be a reality, right? Thinking... LV6 and above?)
3. Triple Set Bonuses. As above but greater ability granted
4. Quad Set Bonuses. As Above but greater ability granted. (This level seems highly unlikely to achieve now, but maybe where things need to go in 10-20 years. haha by this point We'll be at LV7 Right?
5. Quin Set Bonuses. We have a Hulk.
4. Elder Set Bonus (Eldritch+Arcanum) Hopefully with no slot overlaps at all, but at least none that can't be easily overcome by this point. - Granting Something Ridiculous And Fun for the whole group. Counts as a Triple Set.
5. Supreme Elder Set Bonus (Elder Set + Whatever is after Arcanum that Slots in seamlessly with the other two ideally)Hopefully by this point we don't care about Slot Limitations that would cause overlaps. Something even more ridiculous for the whole group. Counts as a Quad Set.
Oh, and if we needed to do it to get us started, just assign some Legends to sets that they make sense with.
