I'd say the next 2 items might be a ranged weapon usable by all (a la scepter) and perhaps a new buckler usable by all (a la orb)

New sling!!!! Ahem, a new, useable by all sling would likely pair well with the set. A 1H option would also open up the ranged offhand for more than just buckler if desired.

Very much so! Compare this belt to the belt of Might for example.

Also, note that the new lenses stack with sniper specs via Cranston’s, giving a massive +6 hit and +2 damage. Not sure if this is intentional, or not.


You can already stack Lenses of the Fae with Sniper Specs with Cranston's to get (potentially) +5 hit, +2 damage, +2 AC, +2 Reflex, ignore 50% miss chance on incorporeal

Maybe the offhand is a Slingpouch of Deadshot - provides an endless supply of magical sling bullets with <insert benefit here>?

Yeah, I'd probably just go with +1 hit/damage with ranged. Probably shouldn't have the +AC and +Reflex.

Would need to name it more generically than I did too, since it would work with other 1H ranged weapons as well as slings. Ammopouch of Deadshot?

Slings don't require odd workarounds. Bows and bucklers do.

Currently, the only "bows" usable by all are the blunt light crossbows from 2011 or the slingbow from 2021.
In general, Clerics can't use bows or crossbows due to "pointyness", and several other classes are left off most bows and crossbows
As far as bucklers, Monks, Rogues, and Wizards don't get them.

Present ammo token in coaching to gain the effect of that ammo for your ranged attacks for the duration of the game. Could or could not require turn in of the ammo.

How about +1 range to hit and maybe add +2 reflex save

In many ways I think the belt would have been cooler if it made it easier to hit on range rather than extra damage, would have worked great with the new mage staff to get the too hit reasonable.

Dead shot really feels themed like a Bow (missile) set, so it really feels like spells are already tacked on just as a side benefit.

Fitting the whole set yields +8 hit and +2 damage for ranged and now +1 level. That seems almost more than reasonable for +hit out of 3 tokens.
