Yes, really is BIS. It might be OK if it just allowed sneak attack, but combining the ability to crit is easily UR and would sell one to every rogue im sure.

If the intent is to open up crit to more rogues, 1/game? It could stack with Flawsight from 2021 and give them slot options or the ability to do twice per game (which will cover a lot of runs since crit immunity is often one fight per run).

Ya, I'd say move that power to red bracers so it feels like a liner progression to guided strike. For melee rogues it's no contest

Guided strike + Lenses of Heimdall Sight = sneak anything +1 damage

Bracers of fire + these lenses = sneak anything +2 damage, lol at the UR

Granted ranged penalty, but at the lower end most rogues build for melee. At the higher end rogues naturally high dex makes this penalty trivial.

For melee rogues it's auto-include at no penalty, with ranged rogues it's the third item in a chain that involves two other URs (other goggles to allow ranged sneak and hat to allow two goggles).

Maybe if it were a melee penalty instead of a ranged penalty? It would still be really good for melee, but they would have to offset it by raising up that to-hit bonus more, while ranged rogues still need something else to activate ranged sneak attack first before this.

Overall, I still like the idea of decoupling crit immunity from sneak attack immunity, but that doesn't sound like it's on the table?

Can someone convince me that Ring of the Storms isn't too strong? It seems like a UR level token (only slightly worse than Havoc (Spell Damage covers much of the same territory as Ranged, basically only missing Thor wielders) and outshines the old Ring of Focus UR for damage), but I might be missing something.

If I wasn't planning on the transmute, I would just get this and skip Havoc.

There are lots of +2 damage with something rings.

I think it's ok for casters to get their turn. Havoc/drake offer more versatility.

It’s more or less like a ring of ringing for spells. Given Ring of Ringing is a completion token which seem to trend toward UR Levels these days, it’s probably is too much for an in booster rare. IMO, play it safe and make it a rare ring of focus.

Frost is a transmute, roaring is a completion, and brilliance is restricted. Perhaps ring of the storms should be +2 to shock damage spells to be limited similar to brillance?

I don't love that every weapon a paladin can use, a cleric and ranger can as well.
Also, the set still feels light on aragonite items.

Bead of Binding doesn't feel very "binding" to be healed extra. Also, the power feels pretty weak. Maybe 2 extra points?

Is earcuff of the shanty too good? +2 melee damage on top of bardsong is kind of a lot. Particularly if your bard is playing the current conch.

Lenses of sharpness seems far too good. If you're melee sneaking, you likely don't care about ranged anyhow.

I think I liked lenses of foresight better if it gave you something (+1 hit/damage?) rather than protected you.

Prefer Orca to Sea Troll or Sea Ogre.

Ravager armor is quite good.

Scriber's spectacles feel a little weak, and we definitely don't need more plank.

Remove Woe is going to be the grind stock up option of the future.

Ring of Storms could become Ring of Focus (+1)? Would that be good enough at rare?

I'm assuming the intent is for only fighters to be able to wear the triton set?

Like that the +1 Trident was changed to 2 hand (with it’s high max damage), but in character terms, have been trying to figure out how one would two hand throw a Trident.
