TOPIC: Barbarian Book Idea

A Uncommon Book of Bashing (or similar title; +1 if Rare, +2 if UR) makes sense to me--a big heavy book that your friendly local Barbarian can use to clobber someone. Might be nice if it had a big old metal binding--more mass for smashing.

I like the way you think. Barbarians need many items, that while originally intended for other classes, that have been taken by a world wise Barbarian, and adapted for their own use. Mainly eating or drinking or smashing, the favorite pastimes of Barbarians.

Example, it’s rude to eat with your hands. So, a polite Barbarian may use a Wand as a fork/skewer. So, Barbarians could have a class specific wand, that if they use in conjunction with a food healing item, gives a bonus to healing.

So, I’m thinking, that if one equips 4 of the following, then that Barbarian would be equipping “The Resourceful Set.” The Set Bonus for The Resourceful Set would be +2 Wis and + 1 Chr.

The Book of Throwing (ranged mainland) While in a state of rage, the book may be thrown as a weapon, damage is 1 + STR bonus. Around the token edge are symbols for the damage types (fire, sacred,...). If slid and hits, it does that damage type. (thanks for the suggestion Beertram)

The Wand Of Skewering (slotless, unlimited use) A Barbarian carrying this wand gains 1 hp of healing from any healing food consumed.

The Lute of Thrashing OR The Lute of Smashing (melee, two handed).
(Lute of Thrashing, Common Token, May be used by Barbarian as two handed melee weapon. 1-4 damage. 1 point of this damage is sonic. One use, turn in token. If Bards use the Lute of Thrashing for Bardsong, -2 to hit and damage for all classes, except Barbarian.)
(Lute of Smashing, 3* Transmute, with unlimited uses in melee, and if used by a Bard, regular bardsong for most, but, +1 dmg from bardsong for Barbarians.)

The Scroll of Napkin (slotless, one use per game) After the Barbarian uses this scroll (to clean their face after a meal) gain +1 Chr.

Just saying that they took my joke item and used the main concept of it in a real item.
