Yes, flowers pretty.
I also think they make acceptable coasters when the wife tells you not to leave your mug of ale on the table. Although, the idea of using them for bashing also still has a lot of appeal.

Don't you mean pressing the heads of their enemies between the book's covers?

Book of Heads? +1 to Will Saves? Or -1 to Enemies Will Saves?

Book of Head Pressing
Humanoid monster must take a fear check at -1 will, or cower for 1 round

But the wizard using the transmuted spell book can’t figure out why they are -1 Int.

Nice concept, but it might have the opposite reaction... poor Flopsy.

Lute of Thrashing, Common Token
May be used by Barbarian as two handed melee weapon. 1-4 damage. 1 point of this damage is sonic. One use (turn in token).

If Bards use the Lute of Thrashing for Bardsong, -2 to hit and damage for all classes, except Barbarian.

*edit*. Could be transmuted to a 3* Lute of Smashing, with unlimited uses in melee, and if used by a Bard, regular bardsong for most, but, +1 dmg from bardsong for Barbarians.

I think we could just put the book as a +1, 2 handed weapon and just give it a name like book of bashing, or +1 encyclopedic tome of beat down

Edit: maybe give it a second ability of +1 INT if equipped as a slotless instead of a weapon.
