Is the retribution damage on Pendant of the Pure only when they're using the power of the pendant to call an extra ally to guard or is it anytime they use guard?

I would say anytime you are guarding (thanks for the clarification). Could this just say
"guard 1 extra person 1/game"
+2 Retribution Damage
?

Also, it still feels kind of weak like that. Maybe +1 Str?

Particularly when compared to Necklace of the Woodlands, which probably needsto be +3 ranged/+2 melee, or even lower. +4 to hit at the rare level with Normal/HC monster AC is a LOT. Like, 5th level legendary bard a LOT.

Is 20 too much instant damage for the saluki? Thinking of DF taunt here.

Clerics are staying on Fire Snake it would seem.

For the ranger neck, may I suggest following the theme of the class relic a little?

+2 con

Choose at start:
+2 ranged hit
Or
+1 melee hit

It now lines up with the theme of the ranger items giving a con buff.

Additionally, it buffs ranged hit or melee hit, but ranged is double the melee bonus (one puck vs 2)

This would be a trade off from amulet of vigor for the melee ranger - slightly less damage, slightly more hp and +1 fort

Belt of the Sweetwoods should say:
+2 to Dexterity &
+1 to Constitution

Amulet of Smashing

Is there some time that 2h melee weapons are used besides "when attacking"? Just extra words that mean nothing.

Dwarven Drinking Gloves

Uses "use" and "potion". If it was "use liquid" such that it worked with oils, that would make more sense, but that's an obvious thematic fail. I think it should be "drink" rather than "use".

Necklace of the Woodlands

One thing about the class legendaries is that the idea of focusing on specific classes doesn't pass down through the rarities. Consider that the comparative advantage of fighters is supposed to be hitting more often, then give rangers a massive to hit bonus. Just an observation, the forums really could use more people commenting who actually are affected by rare tokens.

Plate of the Forge

I know it's late to chime in about not dealing more than Shark Tooth, but it came to mind.

More monsters are immune to fire than any other damage type is my guess here.

There are a few of us affected by the rares who are commenting!

I'm not sure what you mean by "focusing on specific classes doesn't pass down through rarities".

But the fighters are also the KISS class. Don't have to remember a lot of stuff. Just slide and hit. And they already hit more often at Rare. They have baked in +2 to hit, slide one puck, and have access to a few extra +STR items that Rangers don't (Bliss bull items come to mind). They also tend to focus on weapons, so giving them something that makes weapons better (keen) makes sense?

And that Ranger neck item has all over the place throughout the revisions. Probably because the Ranger is somewhat split in its focus between melee and ranged, and flavor wise has things that come up more at the table than in a 12 minute room.

I honestly think this is fine, as it focuses on "accuracy" as part of class identity, which seems kind of right? Maybe the numbers could go to +4 ranged/+2 melee.

Or maybe the choice is very accurate ranged attacks (+4 to hit) vs. more risky, high damaging dual-wielding attacks; choose at start. The dual wielding could be something like +2 damage on melee attacks, or +5 damage if both your pucks hit (toned down version of a previous iteration).

I get where you're going, but Druids aren't about polymorphing only, and Rangers aren't only about bows. Using class legendaries to determine "class identity" would leave a lot of class features in the dust. By that reasoning, the red Paladin neck shouldn't have guard on it.

I will just make one more pitch about Amulet of Flawsight. Up until now, if you can sneak it, you can crit it. That is no longer the case. It adds another level of complexity for DM's and any code to calculate sneak attack damage. Because of this token, Sneak Attack and Rogue Critical hits will have to be considered completely separate, and calculated separately. When you add capabilities (like Nightshades) that double sneak attack damage on crits, the combinations give me a headache just thinking about it.
