I still think incorporating the UR Elixir of Life ability into the Relic is overpowered, and if it stays I'll probably outfit our Cleric with this.

16-20 on Divine Intervention seems pretty broken, it seems like auto-granting the special abilities on the max hit could lead to a lot of instant kills.

I got all spun up about Divine intervention - then I realized all those effects require a 20 slide as well. So 1/4 chance 1/game of turning someone’s slid 20 into an auto kill if it wasn’t already seems OK (and you can’t use it retroactively after you see the 20).

Nah, on a 1 "All Druids in any Dungeon take 1 point of damage"

On a 1 the Cleric gets no treasure this run... still heals 10 to all...

Deals 10 damage to all, cleric gets +10 treasure. Mandatory Tithe.

Collect tithe should be on a 20. I like it

I just realized there may be some people that may think we're serious. Beertram is often a Druid on runs where I'm the Cleric, so we're just joking with each other, not serious suggestions. Or at least mine aren't. Who knows with that guy. ;)

I was serious that it would be in the D&D flavor to have it either fail or something bad happen on a 1... but after that I wasn't being serious.

A free Fallen Star or Gem of Last Hope 1/game can be incredibly powerful at Relic.

It also takes a lot away from the value of Sacrifice for the Paladin.

It's fine, raising the dead is something Clerics do, but it is quite powerful.

On Epic we've still got a decent chance to use up the Cleric power, Paladin sacrifice, and still be feeding some people consumables.

Agreed, I didnt say it was OP, just that the relic is powerful.

I like it, I'll definitely make sure our group has one ( or more depending on participants).

How could your group use more than one?

No one said we could *use* more than one. What I was saying was that with the degenerates I run with,we'd likely have 3 or 4 amongst us.

I don’t think I have much left to comment on the cleric relic and legendary chain.

The relic lets me cast prayer and slide, or cast prayer and bless. On top of that, I get to restore someone to full health, which is sweet and very different than soothe wounds.

The legendary has divine intervention, which is a nice mix of heal and wrath. The restore X uses and nice, but they are low priority for me, so I may never get around to making the legendary. That’s ok - I think I need more convincing than what the upgrade to legendary usually provides . I’ll focus my efforts on acquiring a +5 ring of focus for now, or maybe cavadar after the event.

If not stated on the token, the default is always a Standard Action.

11-15: All characters are immediately healed 10 hp & on the NEXT combat round all characters have their sliders turned to max damage (if they did not slide it naturally). Sliders that are turned (because the highest number was not naturally slide) do not get any of the special attack bonuses that come with a max damage number facing the dot. For instance, some "insta-kill" weapons will auto-kill certain monsters on max damage slides.

Just to verify; a player can decline this ability, correct? I'm thinking assassin or paladin who slide their special damage value that is NOT max damage - can they choose to keep lower number so they can get special ability?

Picc wrote: How does the timing work on the full heal. Is it an action, free action, instant action?

I just clarified the first post. Here it is. Thanks for the good questions.

Divine Intervention - Once per game, as a Standard Action during combat, the Cleric can beseech her deity to divine aid. When this is done, the DM hands the d20 to the Cleric player, and the die is cast in the sliding area of the combat board. The die result tells the kind of aid given:

1-10: All characters are immediately healed 10 hp

11-15: All characters are immediately healed 10 hp & on the NEXT combat round all characters have their sliders turned to max damage (if they did not slide it naturally). Sliders that are turned (because the highest number was not naturally slide) do not get any of the special attack bonuses that come with a max damage number facing the dot. For instance, some "insta-kill" weapons will auto-kill certain monsters on max damage slides. Note that a player can elect to NOT have his puck rotated to the highest number if they chose. For instance, an Assassin might want to preserve the "6" facing the damage dot.

16-19: As above but the "special effect on max damage" powers do activate when the sliders are turned to max

20: As 16-19 but a column of Sacred Fire engulfs all monsters doing 100 points of Sacred damage. This damage is inflicted immediately after the die is rolled (like the healing) and not the next round like the puck turning effect.
