TOPIC: Re-Print Suggestions for all Rarities

As someone who (occasionally) keeps an eye on good Rogue weapons, I want to Second/Third/Octillianth the request for a reprint of:

--> Nightshades +2 ShortSword

(Yeah, yeah, I'm biased... and that's why I haven't been really, really pushing it in the past.)

But over the last couple years, I've had a significant number of folks asking me if I had a spare, or knew where they could get one... and I've either sold or given away every spare which I had collected, and I've still got a list in the double digits of folks who want me to let them know if I see one for sale.

So, a quick review:

* Nightshade's +2 Shortsword was printed in 2007
* Has not been reprinted in 13 years (will be 14, for 2021)
* Is considered among the best Rogue Weapons
* Remains competitive with other UR shortsword/dagger weapons
* Is a fantastic "00" pull for newbies (good for most melee classes; highly tradeable)
* Is not part of any Relic/Legendary recipe
* There's no rules against reprinting "named" tokens (Widseth's Lute was reprinted 2015)
* Is the ONLY Honorarily named UR not available in ONYX
* Would look absolutely Kick-Ass in ONYX
* Saves Jeff from having to find new art, as it already exists in an old file... right?
* Bears the Stamp of Approval of the Greyhawk Thieves Guild for reprint potential.

There are a fair number of folks who seem to be in agreement....

I don't expect to see all of these, but it would be nice if every year includes a class specific UR so those hard to find items don't become impossible to find.

+1 to this concept.

I was thrilled when Libram of Looting was reprinted, it allowed me to get a class token at PYP price. I'm sure there are a lot of Wizards out there that would love to have ready access to Mad Evoker's Charm, and there must be tokens like this for every class.

A couple slots available each year for reprints like this would benefit new players and give them a path to upgrades.

I like this concept.

As a Wizard main I would prefer to see the +2 Staff of Power finally get it's reprint this year and do the Mad Evokers in a year or so. +2 SoP is desirable and completely unavailable. MEC is desirable and minorly available.

+1 to this.

I know we can't reprint all the cool stuff all the time, but keeping...say... one reprint slot per year available for a class-specific reprint (especially if that class isn't getting any special love via another UR or Transmute in the same year) would be most excellent.

Agreed on everything... Except... Wouldn't it be even better if Nightshade's +2 Short Sword came in Sapphire instead of Onyx?

Agreed on everything... Except... Wouldn't it be even better if Nightshade's +2 Short Sword came in Sapphire instead of Onyx?

If there was a reprint, with a Relic version... (I know, not very likely)

Raven, excellent case for the reprint! The Stamp of Approval of the Greyhawk Thieves Guild alone is enough for me.

Well clearly.... YES.

But (as Derdigan pointed out) that would be getting into Relic territory.... and even *I* can't make a good case for a second Rogue Relic before the rest of the classes are done getting their class Relic/Legendaries.

I'd be willing to do a Vanity transmute that was, say, a nightshade's and one of each Monster Trophy (evidence of your kills) to get a functionally identical sword on a Sapphire back.

But that's not likely either.

I'll have to settle for critting with it while wearing my Necklace of the Sneak , which does seem to hold a sapphire...

That is, if I can ever collect enough Strength boosting tokens to switch from my ranged build.

Still carry my Nightshade's every run even though my STR is 8.

These are the Reprints I would like to see, but I am only going to touch on URs

Twolf’s Helm of the Wild, Not Bis but it would be something cool for a newbie to pull
Nightshades Short Sword, yeah it is awesome, and I don't play a rogue
Wil’s Dragonheart
Mithral Gauntlets

But my personal hope is for my daughter to get her token someday

My daughter, Phoenix, has been playing at Origins for the last couple of years and liked it. She wanted to play Paladin, and I think if I could get her one of these for a PYP she would be ecstatic! If this gets reprinted that means I am going to have to go in to get her at least the relic sword... but it would be so worth it.
