Beryl Prism would be awesome. If we're going to bring back +1 Sling, Goggles of Seeking might be nice in the set as well.

I like the googles of seeking suggestion but you can at least find those pretty easily. The +1 sling has been OOP for 11 years. It took me a couple of months to find one for the bard in my party. Alternatively, a reprint of the +1 hand crossbow would work as well.

Why not equip the +1 War Sling? That one has got to be easier to find than the +1 Sling.

2 hands vs 1. Bard has a shield of the scholar to cast bless every combat via scroll, but he needs a 1H weapon to do it.

  • Ioun Stone Topaz Trilliant (2012)

One of the following to use as the starting point for the Fighter Legendary path:
  • +2 Dread Sword (2008) - maybe with a bump to +3 or some other benefit?
  • +2 Slayer Sword (2014)
  • Charm of Final Repose (2012) - may be particularly timely for haunted house module

For each above list, I went from tokens that were more restrictive on class to those usable by more classes.

I was thinking a likely reprint to start the Wizard's path was Mad Evoker's Charm. The +2 Staff of Power is another really good option. I'd like to see both get reprinted.

Hasn't every class legendary used a new token as its starting point?

Iktomi's > Shaman's Belt
Raphiel's > Shoes of the Sneak
Bog's > Bracers of Reckless Fury
Ralson's > Cloak of the Elm
Benrow's > Ring of the Drake

I'd rather see new tokens developed for the upcoming classes (that can also be utilized by at least +1 other class) with some of your suggestions sprinkled in sans the starting point.

Ava's allows the old +2 Holy Great Sword from 2007. So there is precedence for allowing an old token as an option for the starting point. That'd be somewhat analogous to reprinting the Dread Sword with a bump to stats to make it competitive with other current UR weapons, and allowing the old Dread Sword to be used.

Both are definitely on the reprint list. I think the +2 SoP is a bit higher on the list than the MEC at the moment but they both could use reprints. It'd be great to see both this year

So I really, really like this idea of setting the fighter UR as a weapon and allowing the +2 dread sword as a optional transmute.

There is, however, the trend to have the first tier available to multiple classes, so how about:

Reprint +2 deadly drow blood mace (or just make a +2 blood mace to fit with the 2020 +1 mace) Or reprint the +2 cestus of sundering. I think there are fewer blood maces around than cestus though, given the blood mace was a transmute component.

So,

I think Orbits is definitely a candidate, though Arcane may be enough.

The idea of an old token being usable to make a relic (or legendary) is also seen for Druid (Coronet), Rogue (Shoes of the Underdark), Bard (3 instruments), and Paladin (+2 Holy Greatsword)
None of those were reprinted though.

I can see any of those as reprints, but not necessarily as the primary path.

+1 Mighty Shortbow is in print, I wouldn't count on another shortbow.

We had the UC amulet last set, I would like to see an MEC, but I doubt it.

Shield of the Scholar and Mithral Gauntlets are always popular requests, as is the +2 Staff of Power.

I'd love to see a new token for the cabal set, a la viper strike pants, to give some options there. A full reprint would be nice, but I also don't know how much we want to add to 3 caster only reprints to a set of 20, where we already know ISPN is coming.

Pants of retrieval were not reprinted, as far as I know. The closest thing we've had to a completion token reprint was Boots of Shocking Step, which functionally reprinted Inferno Step with a different damage type.

I like Shark Tooth, as I'm all about that retribution damage.

+1 sling would be great, as would goggles of seeking. We have the mighty sling this year though...

Beryl Prism was reprinted in 2017. Feels a little early, though it was also 2010 and 2013, so the timing is reasonable.

I totally forgot about Coronet and Shoes of the Underdark. Agree that they were not the primary path. I think it'd be nice to continue the trend of universally usable tokens. 2020 had some really awesome starting points - Ring of the Drake, Cloak of the Elm, Bracers of Reckless Fury.

I totally mixed up Belt of Retrieval with the Pants. When we got the Belt of Retrieval, I thought the completion token was the same... I misremembered.

Mithral gauntlets could be the starting point for the fighter transmute, though while they are technically usable by everyone they aren't as universally usable as, say, cloak of the elm (but more usable by all than bracers of reckless fury).

If Mithral Gauntlets are off the table as a reprint, you could start the fighter chain with Stu-Pendous Pendant (reprint), or new UR gloves that are +3 dex and +3 str. I think fighters (especially dwarf fighters) would like a +3 dex / str glove set.

I'd go for a StuPendous reprint as the start point for the Fighter Legendary. If its to be a neck slot item, its going to need to be at least as good stat wise. The transmutes don't have to add more stats, but could add effects instead.

Stu-Pendous isn't a token I'd recommend for reprinting, it's not high demand and it's not too hard to find at reasonable prices.

Here’s the thing. If the fighter legendary is going to be in the neck slot, it needs to be at least as good stat wise as StuPendous. So why not start with that as the base and then build on it?
