I'm fine with a tome slot as it would be a limiter rather than an expander.

Also against adding new slots at this point unless they act as a limiter rather than an expander, for power creep, and "slot creep," reasons as discussed above.

I'm not so much arguing for new slots as I am expressing a belief that they are going to happen based on past experience, and what I'd like to see if/when they do happen. Tokens in existing slots are likely to continue to get more powerful, and new slots are likely to be added.

Tattoo slot is a good idea, and it does tend to lend itself to multiple tattoo slots.

Race slot. Human, dwarf, elf, orc, halfling, etc.

Elf wizard and dwarven fighter get a “free” virtual token for that slot (which nets out to status quo).

I know it’s been debated before, but I don’t know the previous pro/cons.

I am reiterating an overhaul idea of a race slot and remove elf and dwarf from the classes and meld them in directly to the race slot as “common” tokens for the race slot. Doing this, you end up multiplying the possiblities in the game as well as allow creative to do things like boost/degrade for racial traits

Common:
Elf
Dwarf

Uncommon:
Ogre
Halfling

Rare:
Troll
Drúedain

Epic:
Ent
Orc

Legendary:
Giant
Spirit


...and the recipes for the top tiers would make for very interesting gameplay as racial traits and genetics come into play.

These allow for an easy adjust and to those who set up for Elf wizard or dwarf fighter, the simple slot of common provides the racial features to return to norm...but it also opens up interesting meta and a huge array of classifications for not only the other slots but it provides a differential for BiS tokens to exist which would be great for the entire community at large

I really dislike the idea of race tokens being anything other than a special order since the transmute process would be ugly at best. Transmute fodder at least, transmutable I’m more okay with.

I also have suggestions for fighter .. one “brawler” and one “protector”

For wizard ... an “evocationist” and a “summoner”

Seriously though, no race tokens in the general set please,

I would MUCH prefer sub class tokens over race tokens.

As it stands today adding race tokens removes the ability for existing groups to continue running with 2 wizards or 2 fighters.

Adding sub class, multi year, transmute only tokens would give players a way to modify 1 or 2 existing pieces of a given class to be more in line with their playstyle. Such as the suggested summoner/evoker and brawler/protector.

They'd need to come out AFTER the final set of class legendaries, but that's 2021 isn't it?

I would prefer to keep the dwarf fighter and elf wizard and get rid of the fighter and wizard if it comes down to only having 10 character options before token effects and reducing the runs to a max of 8 people with the associated cost increase per ticket.

If runs stay at 10 people max then the current character options are a good base set in my opinion since you have the option of 2 fighters and 2 wizards should your party of 10 want to have that mix.

Wonder tokens already have provided racial type benefits in the past and could be use to the same in the future.

If one wanted to there could be a rare token that allows a partial wonder effect of a racial type benefit for a single run.

Sub-classes and races both seem to me to be something better dealt with by things like character cards than by tokens, except for a temporary change from something like the Amulet/Ring of Wonder. It also seems like pretty massive power creep to enable the entire party to upgrade to Legendary Giants & Spirits. I also wonder if it would be discouraging to new players in mixed groups of veterans & new players to be playing human/dwarf/elf while the Veterans were smacking things around as Giants & Spirits (or whatever the most powerful races turn out to be).

I’m perfectly Happy with the current mix of races and classes with the exception that I’d like to see more racially specifically usable only tokens but I can understand people’s desire for other options. I think a lot of people would be disappointed to lose character classes.

I’m curious about the sub classes. Would there be separate class cards similar to RO7P class cards???

I have always liked the tattoo slot idea. I have thought so since I read Stuart Thaman's Goblin Wars series, where the paladins tattoo would animate in battle.
I think the backpack and belt pouch common gear slot limitations are a cool idea. I am not sure how practical it would be routinely (coach shudder), but it would be really fun for a theme run, or expert level run, or something like that. Oh and by backpack, i don't mean a real backpack with 275lbs of tokens in it. Ha Ha
