I'm sure this is intentional, but it seems the most asked question we dont have an answer to is whether or not the additional guard on Ava's +5 Holy Avenger will stack with the additional guard from Amulet of Guarding or not.

Lucky Set Bonus: +5 hp doesn't seem very lucky to me.

"Once per dungeon re-roll a saving throw if X or lower is on the die" is a lucky effect to me. (Where X is the number of Lucky items you are wearing.) So with Lucky Plate Armor and Lucky Shield, you can re-roll if a 1 or 2 shows on the die.

I liked Fiddy's idea to hold those hit chance bonuses for the future fighter special.

I def understand that you don't like the overlapping HP bonus, though.

How about immune to surprise? That's an uncommon ability and feels like a spider-sense type of luck.

EDIT: I believe that's already a set-bonus as well?

Immune to surprise is on pieces in a few sets, but it would work here. It seems pretty lucky to always be hitting things at 100%.

This iteration of the set doesn't conflict as much with UR Redoubt but it's not incredibly different either. The difference : --8 AC, +4 all saves, -2 Str, no head slot item.

Monsters have substantially more HP than 3x the Barbarian melee damage.

If they didn't they would die in the first round anyway due to normal party damage.

I'm not sure this set needs any compromise - unless the tokens have changed since I looked at them the wrist and ear items are likely best in slot, and the waist is best in slot for some builds.

As mentioned earlier, I don't think this set needs anything - but if it must have a set bonus one that buffs consumables seems good.

Maybe +1 to healing and damage scrolls, and damage wands?

Gotta get back that +1 to damage wands we lost late in design on the Fluorite cube :)

Sorry for the confusion...the Barbarian still has to actually hit the monster to activate the power. I suppose we could just make it an even +50 points of damage.


Which only makes sense for legendary barbarians. Fury, assumedly goes to every barbarian of a certain level including those playing on normal.

Scaling in the game can't just be at the most extreme level of play. This is one of the problems with evaluating without playing. We might know that Relic level play doesn’t change much but maybe rares plus a couple URs goes bonkers, throwing off something that currently is okay.
