You miss my point. With enough consumables only a TPK is permanent.

It's pretty easy to get a TPK when you find a sphere of annihilation on the mouth of a statue.

PoDD doesn't help in this case (nothing but Wish Ring or Savior Stone does).

Without spoilers, there are a number of things in Tomb of Horrors that have that result. Break out the wish rings...

I am both dreading and looking forward to the Tomb of Terrors puzzle rooms.

If it is intended to be anything like my favorite adventure module of all time whose name rhymes with Shmoom of Shmorrors, there will be more puzzle rooms that deal damage and/or do strange effects to the party just from interacting with the puzzle than there will be combat rooms with actual monsters.

Funny enough, I hinted at this while building at Origins - there was an archway that wasn't an entrance or exit in E2 and I was telling someone they should put three glyphs on it at the top and bottom corners as a red herring/nod to the ToH...
