Thinking about doing E1,E2, E3 on like Friday where you don't reset your player card between runs. It is just one big long run. How much HP you had in the last run is how much HP you have to start the next run. Any spells you used are no longer available to you. Once per game are only available 1 per all three runs.

We would need a way to deal with 'death' in room 7 (if it happens) for E1 and E2. We would use ALOT of consumables. But doing it on Friday would give everyone a chance to have gone through all the E's ahead of time so it is more manageable.

Though I doubt I would be able to fit this into my schedule, I still want to put in out there in case anyone wants to try it. Or have ideas how to deal with death in room 7. I just think it might be interesting overall as we have done number of players restricted runs (5 man, 2 man, solo and so on), we have done token restricted runs (sealed, rare and less, 7 tokens) but I don't know that we have done a card resources restrictive yet.

I imagine it will be much easier than the token restrictive type but it could make some interesting choices about when to use spells and abilities off your character card.

I've talked with others about this in the past, and would love to try it. Nightmare should be possible, don't think I'd want to try Epic like this (yet).

I have several runs I already need to grab, so adding an extra $2400 of tickets isn't in the cards for me. But I'm in if someone else wants to grab the tickets (and we can get close to back-to-back runs starting as early as possible in the day).

As far as Room 7 death on E1/E2, I could see a few ways to tackle that. Even if it seemed like a "no really this is a death you can't come back from", we have powerful magics at hand!
1. Let Ash's Death Pouch be used in the Coaching Room of the next run (it is before the final room of that run after all)
2. Still allow Ash's Pouch or Druegars Die 1/game even if you are restricting other 1/game effects
3. Similar to #1, but burn a consumable in the coaching room to bring someone back.
4. Just handwave it. Divine intervention / Deus ex machina. "Pelor wills us to continue our quest!"

After all, if we manage a TPK in E1, we aren't going to just not run the other two.

May just a HP penalty for death. So you start X2/X3 at minus 20 health from were you were when you died in X1/X2. That could kill some folks as well.

I would definitely be interested in this if someone managed to get the tickets.

It would be even cooler if we didn't need to go back thru coaching each time. I wonder if TD played with this if they could create a 3 part $240 ticket run. Only go thru coaching once in the beginning and epilogue once at end. Go from room 7 and then allow 12 minutes for group to go to restroom and meet up in next training room. It would save a lot of time and TD might squeeze in another run or two that day.

+1 to the "interested if someone manages to secure the tickets" camp. This sounds like an awesome idea, though I'm already dreading it as a Wizard (even with my MoMM).

Scrolls and wands definitely becomes a wizard's best friend.

I potentially could get tickets. I would need to have 9 committed people that could pay as soon as tickets are obtained. It would though also completely depend on my schedule as I cannot get tickets that overlap my existing potential runs. I think it might just be too short notice to pull this together this year at Gen Con.

Though maybe we find 10 people going to Origins and run E1 and E2. We then lock in where everyone is at post Origins and run E3 at Gen Con. It would save us some money and MIGHT be easier to just find 10 E3 that work for folks at Gen Con.....just a thought.

I would be open to doing it but would need it finished by 7p (True raid). Friday is likely my main TD day.

I just realized this thread was about GC, not Origins.

Count me among interested.

Not sure if anyone here has tried marathoning TD before, but I did all four dungeons in a row last year. And I was miserable by the fourth one. You guys might be better for standing/walking for eight hour than I am, but just a warning. Comfortable shoes.

Though this would just be six hours...

At GenCon, the idea of getting back to back runs would be impressive enough, let alone 3 full back to back.

I would be happy to do it.

Because of cost and logistics a consideration for Origins was suggested.

I think I just started this too late for this year. Next year maybe. Though next year is the year I want to do the reset runs, if we find out all the runs are linked and just 3 separate runs having nothing to do with each other.
