It appears that way. People start switching later when friends get GTs etc.

Several of us signed up for E3 at 7.12pm based on who were already on the run.

Meanwhile Laz does a magic trick and wala the distribution of GT runs is altered to have 4 E3s.

Great magic trick! Thank you to Chad and Jeff. The change makes a lot more sense for this year with the change in release schedule.

My concern with that was 2 fold. First, the GT runs are great for the lucky few, but really I believe they are designed to test out the puzzles and DMs to make sure everything runs as smoothly as it can before the "real" GC runs start. Cutting out half of the runs for E1 and E2 does seem like it might have some potential for issues.

In addition, I was wondering about how long TD is allowed to be in Lucas Oil Stadium that Wednesday night.

Finally, I hope those on the later runs can still make the Steak house event and/or poker tournament, assuming there is one.

Wade - it delays the end by 24 minutes so I doubt that's a big issue. The E1 and E2 runs will have been done dozens of times at Origins with the one run at GenCon to field test any bugs in changes made. In the past, only 1 run was done of each adventure (combat and puzzle) so this would be analogous to that (remembering that the runs will have already been done quite a few times for 90% of the content).

Whether the steak thing can be done really comes down to details after the runs. Either last year or the year before, things just ran really late but it didn't have anything to do with the runs themselves (if I remember correctly).

Last year, Jeff in the Odin outfit was a great finish to the night. Hopefully, we can convince him to do something similar this year (as a demon or such, of course).

I'm thrilled. Super lucky to get a ticket this year!
Email sent.
I signed up for an E3 spot, but have no opinion on how many of each run there should be. I do understand why E3 is more in demand (I too will be running E1, E2 at Origins).

I will monitor this thread in case things move around at all.
Frankly, I'm just excited to get a chance to play a cool bonus run.

I wanted to see if there would be any objections for me reserving a slot for one of the GT’s I have for E3 with me. I am auctioning off a golden ticket to benefit the American Stroke Association, the cause is important to ke after losing a loved one to a stroke a few weeks ago. I talked with Jeff, he said he’d be open to help promote it as well. I am hoping the auction will both raise funds for an important cause but also raise awareness about strokes and how education can make a life or death difference.

Part of the auction will be me fully equipping the winner (loaner gear but the winner will keep anything they get like the googie bags, etc ) as best I can to run at Epic level (I can do pretty well but it may mean nerfing my own character - which I am ok with) so that person can feel like they are on equal footing with everyone else.

I know, generally, we don’t support keeping slots open without the person being named. I am hoping the community will be ok with an exception for this.

Please let me know if you have any objections to that slot being held open.

Thank you.

Was Lucky enough to pull a GT. 1st time for me, any suggestions on what to expect? Difficulty level? Will there be Treasure pulls at the end? Pretty much any suggestions or info to share to a noob would be beneficial 😀

No objections to this at all. Great cause. Good luck with the auction!
