TOPIC: Thanks for a Wonderful Event!

Thanks for a Wonderful Event! 5 months 5 days ago #1

I just wanted to take the time to post a bit of gratitude for a wonderful Origins this year.

I went on 9 runs, 3 per day, ranging from Non-Lethal to Nightmare depending on the rest of the group, and every single one was a blast! I got to run with the Blue Brotherhood, another run with some long-time veterans, and got into the last run of the con. In between we had a nice array of new players coming into the Dungeons, most of which seemed to enjoy themselves and were looking forward to more.

The volunteers this year killed it. From the coaches, and room DMs, to the NPCs and tech crew - everyone did such a fantastic job! From a player perspective, everything ran so well. I saw a few technical difficulties in my first few runs, but they were all fixed by the time I came through later.

The puzzles were great, the combats were fun (good call on where the board sat in the rooms later in the con), and the NPCs were lively. I came out of the runs with a lot of good stories from all the different groups. I'm looking forward to running it all again, plus E3, at GenCon!

And to the DM and their Monster from one specific room - watch out for the dancing Barbarian charging up his crit ;)

Got to watch where those low lying rocks are placed. Hard to see in dark places. I saw one person trip on one room where the rock seemed to be in the shadows, and I tripped over one that was close to the combat board.

I couldn't agree more. Thus was a wonderful event and the crew definitely made it.

NPCs were great, the combat DMs were awesome, I thoroughly enjoyed everything.
