Just took a look at the early weather forecast for GHC. This could still change quite a bit in the next week and a half, but besides bringing those all important tokens, plan accordingly.

THU NOV 8

High 44° Low 32°

FRI NOV 9

SAT NOV 10

High 42° Low 32°

SUN NOV 11
50% chance of Showers
High 41° Low 33°

November in Wisconsin

Those temperatures are practically tropical. ;)
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

So last year I had a super early flight, so figured I wouldn't bother to book a hotel for the last night, and just sleep at the airport.

Well, the airport in Madison closes. I didn't know that. So I ended up sleeping in a stairwell in the parking garage.

Madison is cold. So very cold.
Cheapest Shinies available!
Find it cheaper somewhere else? Let me know and I'll beat it

OK, as I learned a couple years ago... If you are not in the Clarion... don't think there is a shortcut to your hotel. Just follow the sidewalks...

The weather in the mid west
Gets bad fast.
They should have run the Con,
October 18-21 well enough away
From Halloween, and on average
10 degrees warmer.
When a Falcon's Strike breaks the body
of its prey, it is because of timing.

I support the idea but you should write the owners of GHC.

Thanks

Earliest measurable snow in Madison - October 6th
Earliest trace of snow - September 28.

It's Wisconsin. Deal with it.

I'd rather walk in snow than near freezing rain. When can you guarantee me snow? ;)

In 2016 Madison didn't have snow until December 4th. So something like that.

The more snow the less likely people
Are going to want to drive there and Madison is not cheap to fly to.
I will talk to someone, at least the guy
That I pick up my badge from.
It’s not GC, so I’m sure if not one of the
Owners he at least knows them quite well
And can pass along the Idea.

Much as i'm not fond of driving in the freezing white stuff, i rather walk in it. Remember the rain at TDC wasn't exactly pleasant when walking between buildings.

Would that be the time you called Angel and I out for being lazy since i drove across the street to the convention center ? :P

Does the convention center offer any sort of coat check? I need to see if i can stuff a real/winter coat in my con bag, hasn't exactly been needed before...
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven
