Has anyone flown to Milwaukee or Chicago and taken the buses from there to Madison area?

I grew up in southern Wisconsin, so yes, but years and years ago. Check out Van Galder bus lines, they go straight from O’Hare to Madison, and may have routes out of Milwaukee these days too. Convenient and inexpensive.

Alternatively, you can fly in to Madison, too. WAY faster to get through than Milwaukee.

Southwest unfortunately doesn’t fly to Madison and other airlines are expensive with extra baggage charges . I’ll look up that bus line. The other one I know of is badger bus.

I flew directly into Madison last year and it was far more expensive than flying into Chicago and getting up there another way. I recommend finding someone to pick you up or taking a bus for sure.

Badger bus or van galder bus are both great from Chicago. You can pay your bill on the bus. Short Uber park n ride to hotel.

Last year I flew from Vegas to Madison for GHC on Frontier and it was only $111 total with a checked bag. I was expecting a bad experience with them but I was actually impressed by them (for a budget airline).

We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

Yeah, it was a Southwest frequent-flyer-miles flight to Vegas, a cheap flight on Frontier to Madison, then a drive back to Ohio with Matt.
