TOPIC: Volunteer Insight

I had planned to volunteer at Origins but was unable to do so, now I'm planning on going to Gamehole Con with the primary purpose of volunteering as it's something I've wanted to do for a while. Now as I go through the volunteer website (which by the way is great) I'm looking for clarity around some of the available volunteer opportunities. Most are pretty clear, these 3 I'd like more info on before I enter my choices.

Show Office Assistant

Looked through the list for GHC and wow there's a lot of roles now. I'm used to Druegar keeper of cookies, Mike or Lori telling me what i'm doing when/where.

Backup generally means you're the spare in place in case of a no show. Now there is backup DM, coach, NPC, and service i believe. Generally just make yourself useful but you're a fill in or extra set of hands during your shift.

Customer Service, basically serve alongside or as hostess to interact with con attendees and answer questions and or do stuff like player check in. Most anytime you see a volunteer at a table that's facing the 'public' that would count as possible customer service role i'd expect.

Show Office Assistant, a new one to me but would you expect to be a gnome assisting in the back office support area, think transmute support and volunteer check in desk I would believe.
