TOPIC: Gratitude

Guildy McGuildface had a excellent Origins arc true Dungeon.

My daughters are teenagers, and not particularly experienced gamers. Everybody from check-in to the epilogue room, and every GM and coach in between, were awesome.

I totally appreciate all the volunteers and their efforts! Thanks for making the con a success for our guild.

Also, thanks for all the comments on our T-shirts. My daughter, Aly (our Dwarf Fighter) designed the sigil. Every time somebody commented on the shirt, I got +1 to Proud Dad. Helped make Father’s Day Weekend pretty great!

TD volunteers are the main ingredient to the big success of the event. We have grown so much because there are lots of folks who think it is fun to make fun for others. They are special folks!

Glad to hear you had such a great time. Always nice to welcome newer faces to the TD family! I look forward to running with you sometime in the future.

Had a great time running a combat for you--the shirts made life so much simpler!

I was the DM for Astral Journey (N1) room 6. I love DMing for TD and the best part is watching players have a good time. I get a major confidence/ego boost when players are clearly enjoying themselves. I don't mind missing most of the rest of the con as long as I and our players all have a good time; that's my entire reason for doing it and I love it.

Speaking of gratitude, I should toss a shout out to the guy (if he gave his name I forget, as I'm horrible with names, but I recall him as being an especially snappy dresser, totally rocking the formal vest look) that bought me a drink at the Hyatt bar Saturday night after we'd closed up the Dungeon. I sat down at the bar, ordered a drink, and when I went to pay for it the bartender said the guy two seats to my left had preemptively added my first round to his own tab. He'd went through N1 Friday and recognized me as I walked past and sat down. That was one of the most flattering experiences I've ever had.

I always have a blast working for TD and seeing players have just as much fun just adds to the experience. It's a symbiotic relationship; the more fun you have, the more I enjoy it as well.

Also, obligatory props to Jeff Martin for being the amazingly demented genius that masterminds the entire event. I'm still amazed by how he and Lori can immediately recognize everybody on the TD crew and call us by name on sight even if, in my case, they hadn't seen me for almost five years.
Everybody gets to make fortitude saves.  Again.  Also, mind your step to avoid the pixie, lest you risk eldritch immolation.
