TOPIC: Badge/Ticket pickup

Badge/Ticket pickup 5 years 10 months ago #1

So, since this is my first time at Origins I have questions. Is there going to be early badge/ticket pickup available on Tuesday? And if not how fast does the line nomally move on Wednesday?

This is actually my first Origins, but according to the recent email they sent there is no Tuesday pickup. Unless there's a secret they're not revealing!

:)

Did you see their recent email? Sometimes these go to my spam folder, and sometimes I get them.

Here's what the last email said:

Registration Hours:

Wednesday: 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
Thursday: 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
Friday: 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
Saturday: 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
Sunday: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Here's how to get your badge:

- Print out this e-mail or have it available on your personal device.

- Be sure to download images included with this email to display the barcode.

- Bring your print-out or device to the registration area located in A-110 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center and scan the barcode at the Self Check-in Kiosk.

- Verify your name displays on the screen and click "Print Badge".

- Once your badge panels have finished printing, detach from the printer by simply TEARING DOWN at the perforation from one edge to the other.

- Take your printed items to the Materials Pick-up Window.

Another first timer to Origins here too.

Are the TD event tickets only going to be electronic? Or will those be part of the tickets we pick up when we register?

They will be electronic, and not part of the Origins badges/tickets because they were purchased via different platforms.

When you purchased your True Dungeon tickets (at td.events), you should've received an email. In the email it said:

"Please print your purchase voucher and present it at Origins Game Fair 2018 for faster check-in."

If you log into td.events , then click on your profile, then click on "View Ticket Voucher," that's what you need. I'd suggest printing it to be safe.

And, of course, make sure you have your Origins badge for the same day that you have True Dungeon tickets!

The last time I went to Origins the line moved rather slowly, however the online check-in line moved very quickly.

Well it’s nothing like GC,
I was there last year,
It’s a short line
That moves Slow.
No more then 20min wait.

Last year I arrived around 3-4 pm on Wednesday, went up to the pre-reg kiosk (which had no line), scanned the emailed barcode on my phone, and boom, badge and tickets printed out immediately. Rolled on over to the coupon book and swag bag line and that took maybe 3 minutes.

TD events are handled differently in that you'll need your voucher printed from the TD events site, but I wouldn't worry too much about lines at Origins. It's WAAAAY more laid back than Gen Con.

Nah. It's just an empty bag. Comes with the coupon book. Sometimes they have them, sometimes they don't.

They also usually have a lanyard for the badge.
