TOPIC: True Raid - Saturday 2:00pm LFO

Wait, *I* want to be with Shelly! I have a second ticket also, that I think either Chris (elf whiz) or Lynette (rogue) want. I’m just fine with the “Lead with the Dwarf” strategy (also known as “Luke on a Stick”).

1) Cool. Everyone, please check the first post and make sure I have everyone listed who chimed-in.

2) Let's get everyone on-board and clarify the 1 or 2 teams situation before we go divvying-up sides.

I can Druid or Wizard or anything else.

But if it’s anything like the Celebration, I think we need four Eldritch healers with lenses, and as many Phoenixes as we can dig up.

Also, I’m dusting off our Evasion Rings. I anticipate a lot of saving throws.

I’ll bring a sack of healing scrolls, so Divine Echo looks like a good call, too

I was not able to participate in Raid at TDC, so I appreciate any insights.

Noted on beefing-up saves. Any that were particularly useful over another? I like to keep my Reflexes and Will higher as most DM's will choose those without looking at the party card if they know they're targeting a Fighter.

Also, HP or AC? My Fighter has a 42 AC but only 57 HP which leads me to the thought of, "If I'm going to get hit no matter what, I should increase my HP rather than hold to a higher AC."

I’d prioritize saves, then HP, and AC last. YMMV

I have 6 CoS. I suggest everyone wear one.

Just re-read the description..."Two groups of ten players must face the fiercest foe ever to appear in TD history!"

So I split the group into two teams, Blue Brotherhood and Yeti. If you mentioned team Yeti in your comment, I put you on that team. If you didn't, I put you on BB. If you would like to change, LMK. There are a few doubled-up classes on Yeti so sort it out and LMK that as well.

Working on tweaking my build per Brad's suggestion of 1) Saves 2) HP 3) AC which sounds like a good idea. If anyone else has another perspective, please share.

I guess just move me over to fighter. I prefer playing paladin but my stuff all works fine on that build as well.

Wand wizard is a option as well.

I have 2 CoAS and 1 CoS, so I can loan a couple if people need. I hope everyone comes equipped to play a Level 5 character, but I have extra Rings and Charms of Heroism if needed.

If I remember correctly we don't get treasure pulls for this right? So we don't have to worry about CoA or ISSN. That's a couple of extra slots.

I expect to take a lot of damage so I'm toying with the idea of using my voucher and playing the Berserker version of the Barbarian. I lose Greater Rage, but my damage isn't too bad anyway. I really like the idea of having an extra 48hp before I die. And if I do use a mystic mushroom or two or three I can get up to another 48 hp every time. So unless the LoriGorgon is dealing 200hp of damage in a single round to 1 player I expect to live an extra five minutes.

Keep in mind, Lori does read the threads here from time to time. I'm assuming she really will be now. Let's not discuss any serious planning on here.

I'm desperately looking for a 2pm True Raid ticket. If anyone has a ticket available I would very much appreciate it. I had a wonderful time playing for the first time last year at Origins and really want to get to play all four games this year.

I returned my Friday 7pm ticket. I am being realistic and not trying to do more than two sessions of True Dungeon in one day.

This would be the only time I get to play True Raid. I've dropped all my other games at Origins on Saturday for True Dungeon. Please help, I just need one ticket.
