Maybe next time you will allow me to bring my vevuzula and still have the cleric heal me? Lol! I did get back stabbed by a party member to get me to stop once or twice...

So Mongo you maybe a subpar bard but you are a amazing troubadour I think you need to bring a ukulele or I could bring one for you.

Well said Dave. I came out to GHC last year purely and only due to TD. My roommates and I returned because of how well the con was along with TD. Just a fun little (growing) con that makes the drive worth it. If the worst meal i can say was fair then really no issue with the host city, lot's of good eats just a quick ride or uber away.

Overall for the dungeons themselves they felt tighter or just more 'playtested'. Dm's and NPC's knew their jobs and executed well or better. Really like that the 'smell' puzzle didn't penalize you if you couldn't tell the difference on specific scents.

A minor quibble on the area by our hall, lack of open tables and seats. I'm admittedly used to hanging around and talking/trading and really missed the creature comforts from Indy. Venue otherwise was decent and further reinforces my desire to come back next year.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

This was my first GHC and I really enjoyed it. I had no clue what to expect heading in and I really appreciated the laid back atmosphere. It was really nice to be able to join a run that friends had signed up for earlier in the day.

I agree with everyone else on the Dungeons being fantastic. I really liked Old Holly version 2.0. The larger than life model I thought was excellent as well as Old Holly's banter. I enjoyed the 2 new rooms very much and really thought they made thematic sense. The NPC's I thought did an amazing job! Bast crushed it, even reciting song's from the book!

Lastly a big shoutout to all the volunteers for making this an amazing con and well worth the travel!

Just want to add a +1 to this. Is it possible to set up some tables outside the TD area? I think there was some available room just past the area. Also, what was the closest restroom? I saw one in the back of Hall B a little down the corridor. other than that you had to go all the way down to the food vending area. It was only a 2-3 minute walk each way, but any improvement would be welcome.

Also, for anyone interested, it looks like GHC will be November 7th-11th in 2018. Are we certain enough that TD will be back that we can start making plans?

Thanks to all the volunteers! You made this con so enjoyable...so enjoyable in fact, I just kept adding run after run and wore myself out by Sunday. From the DMs to the behind the scenes people, the NPCs, and everyone in-between, you are all troopers. Case in point, I was on the second to last run of MM on Saturday and everyone was still at the top of their game including the Fae Moongate Dancer who was as nimble and active as she was on Friday afternoon.

Like others have said, the dungeons seemed that much more fine-tuned and the new puzzles were fun. I will also highly recommend GHC to newbs as it is so much more laid-back than GC.

It was also great to have more time to chat with everyone in person. I'm hoping TD will be back at GHC next year because if it is, I will be there.

Awwwwwwww. Compliments!

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback, I try to make each run as good as the first so as to give all players the the same experience - so the kind words mean a lot. The GHC crew is amazing, and it's lovely to see you guys come through over and over. You make our jobs so much fun.
Friendly neighbourhood NPC. Do not rob, maim or kill. Else you take 50 points of irresistible damage and I come back to betray you in the next room.

Some of us are troopers.

Some of us (looking at you, NPCs) are troupers. ;)
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I attended Gen-Con with a friend of mine and it was my first taste of True Dungeon. I loved the sets, the characters, and the people that we got to play with. My friend and I flew out from California to make four runs on Saturday and weren't disappointed. Old Holly was an awesome upgrade from the NPC at Gen-Con and major props to the actor for indicating his attack targets in rhyme. The props and sets in both adventures were amazing. And all of the players were great people having a great time. I'm looking forward to the next True Dungeon convention and hoping that it'll be a shorter plane ride...

Unfortunately, those of us from California have to fly to either Indy, Madison, or Columbus. Pretty much the same distance every time.
