TOPIC: Your best treasure pull

Your best treasure pull 9 months 12 hours ago #13

Best pull I've ever gotten was a 25,000 GP Eldritch Bar that became part of a Legendary Lute soon after.

My wife had an amazing 10-pack pull with a Ring of Riches back in 2011. We still use it to this day :)

but earlier this year Widseth's Legendary Lute!

First and only orange we've pulled.

Just like you, my entire group mainly pulled some URs and Relics over the years, but we did get a Widseth's Legendary Lute as a pull when it was in the treasure boxes the first time around.

Almost all of my URs and Relics have come from VTD. Overall, I would say my pull rate is in line with the %s found in Marc's and previously Jedi's spreadsheets.

Pulls haven't been nearly as good at in person runs. However, last year at GenCon, my son got the only legendary that we have gained from treasure. However, we didn't get to experience the excitement of pulling it from the box. It was in a 20 pack we opened while eating dinner that night.

I prefer the 20 packs...I never get the treasure wand to work properly, lots of blank pulls (user error and bad form no doubt!)

It's a combo pull.

Wish ring followed by charm of the faithful during my Bachelor party run.

I have been playing since 2008, and only managed a couple UR's even with VTD. But my best pull was the Tinker 37 I got at Gen Con last year. With that, I can complete my Totem of Heroism this year!!!

The First year of VTD was very very good to me. I pulled 2 Legendaries - Ashenne’s and Ava’s - in different runs - but my best package came in VTD 3. Out of 3 20-packs I pulled a 25K Eldritch Bar, a 5k Mithral Bar, FoP: Reaver, and a Pendant of the Yew. The Eldritch bar let me complete the Relsa’s Ring I had been saving up for about 7 years.
That hot streak definitely spoiled me going forward

We've pulled a Medallion of Greyhawk (ages ago), Shaman's Greater Necklace, and Bead of Greater Binding (VTD).

The best I’ve ever pulled is a +1 Thrall Sword, and I’ve been playing regularly for years. Judging solely from this thread, VTD seems to be the place for great pulls.

My friend and I have both done 25-30 runs over the years at GenCon, and neither of us has ever pulled (or seen anyone else pull) anything more exciting than rare weapons and monster parts. I'm trying to convince him to go halfsies on a One-Boot Billy's Map, he's saying "Eh, why bother?" and to be honest, I can't really disagree.

While I'm definitely not in the top treasure pullers (I usually play each dungeon once), I, or people in my group, have pulled perhaps a few thousand tokens over the last 14 years or so.

Excluding the special year where there were lots of UR+ tokens in the treasure mix, I think in total, I've seen 2 relics (Icecrag Hero's Earcuff, Ring of Greater Havoc), and between 5 and 10 ultra rares - and most of that is back weighted to the 2020 VTD era. There was definitely a year where I pulled or saw pulled something like 500 treasure pulls and I think saw one Icecrag Hero's Earcuff, and one UR.

Many people really like pulling treasure and it's a big focus of the game for them, but I'm increasingly in the "Eh, why bother?" camp myself, and I don't think it's diminished my enjoyment of the game. I'm strongly considering dropping TEs from my builds entirely after this year.

Certainly if someone wants to improve their build, I would generally advise them to just buy the tokens they want, not buy treasure enhancers as a way of getting what they want or getting stuff to trade - unless they think doing multiple runs of the same dungeon is really fun and it's something they would be doing anyway.

VTD has vastly increased the volume of treasure pulls. If you only played at GenCon, you were looking at maybe 1-3 runs. Possibly more, depending on how dedicated you were. With VTD, there 8 runs scheduled for 2023. More runs, better odds.
