TOPIC: Your best treasure pull

What's the best treasure that you ever pulled at the end of a run? My friend and I have both done 25-30 runs over the years at GenCon, and neither of us has ever pulled (or seen anyone else pull) anything more exciting than rare weapons and monster parts. I'm trying to convince him to go halfsies on a One-Boot Billy's Map, he's saying "Eh, why bother?" and to be honest, I can't really disagree.

I have pulled a few ultra rares over the years, but from VTD. But a few years back I did pull that year’s dragon orb in a 50 bag when I redeemed treasure tokens I had bought!

Also in VTD, I pulled this year’s relic boots twice, and a couple Rings of the 4th Circle.

Still hoping for a legendary one day…

Several years ago a buddy of mine pulled the legendary bow. Last year my wife pulled the Relic havoc ring.

At Game Hole Con one year I pull a Thor's +5 Returning Hammer of Smiting. At Skull Con when Jeff was manning the treasure pull area. I pulled a Luna's Greater Charm Bracelets.

I turned in a bunch of the original Treasure Maps at Skull Con and pulled two Ultra Rares, a Relic Greater Ring of Havoc and a Luna's Greater Charm Bracelets.

I was awfully lucky that year.

Many years ago I pulled a 25k bar.

My wife and I have been playing regularly for four years. Three months ago I pulled a Drake's +5 Staff of Focus. That's very much an outlier, however.

If you want to figure your odds, please look at Marc D's 2023 Treasure Pulls Sheet ( docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rI4ARi3g6nsIyN_jzLuljiYKgiVwotZQaANvq0GbL9Q/edit?usp=sharing ). The latest tab (for MomoCon) gives the probability of one pull being something other than a Rare/Uncommon/Stalker token/Monster bit at 2.51%. If pulling such is your goal, you can decide if money spent on a One Boot Billy Map for 20 pulls with those odds will bring you more joy than putting it directly towards character buffs or more runs.

Also, because it is the 20th Anniversary year, the treasure mix is different this year than "normal." There are items in there from many years, not just the current year, and it's a somewhat richer mix. So if you were ever going to go for it, now is the time!

(My family of four has pulled 2 legendary items in the last six months!)

Conversely, has anyone, like my friend and me, never pulled anything exceptional?

Best live pull was a Greater Cloak of Destiny or Blessed Redoubt Plate.

VTD I've pulled a Luna's and a Muk's

When we got 3 pulls a run, we never got anything of significance. I also didn't know where UR+ came from as there's never been much explanation to casual players how token stuff works. When started getting a lot of treasure pulls, ended up getting things like Blessed Redoubt Helm when looking to complete a Redoubt set. With the massive amount of additional treasure from VTD runs, get more UR+ stuff.

Stuff is there, but, sure, almost everything one gets are uncommons, rares, and monster bits.
