TOPIC: Gencon VIG companion badge available for trade

I've had VIG status for Gencon for a couple of years now, haven't made use of my VIG companion badge and was hoping to find someone to work out a deal with who will pay for the cost of the the companion badge plus some cash or tokens my way to offset the cost of my badge.

The companion badge will get you early access to the housing portal which should guarantee you a downtown room provided it is booked before the hosing lottery, VIG lounge access and the ability to attend the VIG mixer providing ticket availability.

Volunteering for true dungeon is still the best option of securing a downtown hotel room.

I understand that not everyone is interested in paying an increased cost to secure a downtown room. This post is for those who are,

In terms of tokens I would be interested in:
Greater bead of whispers
or
2x Ring of the 4th circle
1x Bead of bounty

One clarification: Companion badges do not have access to the housing portal. The VIG has access to the portal and books on behalf of the companion. So you will need to book for your "companion", including entering a CC number, etc.

I plan on changing my Gencon password after booking my room and letting the companion buy their own badge and book their own room. I won't see their credit card information that way.

Congrats! Glad it worked out. I also am getting a VIG badge but never use my companion badge. Think I might try this as well..

There may be a workaround to that. Or at least I found one last year that worked.

Last year I was able to hit the button to request a room for my companion and then just sent them the housing link it gave me. They were the able to do the reservation on their own from that point forward.

I noticed the GC hotel links weren’t secure a few years ago. It looks like the coding to creature unique id’s for searches never worked. We used it to work around a problem with a friend’s companion badge.
