TOPIC: How many runs did you do at GENCON?

How many runs did everyone do at GENCON? Why does everyone like to do the amount of runs they do?

We have a group of 10+ friends we do runs with, we did one run each of two Dungeons (we weren't able to get a 10 slot for Felurian's Feast). We usually try to do one of each run, we'll sometimes do a 2nd time through a run if we can't fit everyone in one run (that hasn't been an issue for awhile since several of our friends have dropped out of True Dungeon, most during the SMOAK years). Personally, it seems like too much TD at a GENCON if we do more than 3-4 runs.

I did three runs at Gen Con. It doesn't feel important anymore with other conventions that have way less competition and cheaper tickets and with VTD. Also, not being able to mulch chaff means end up with more weight than other cons.

However, my GC schedule for a long time has been driven by a particular RPG campaign that ended this year, and I don't plan on doing the next one, so, suddenly, I can do things like pick one day for TD, one day for whatever, etc. That would make it much less stressful than rushing from the JW to LOS after 11PM to get to sleep at 3AM to wake up at 6:30AM.

The one thing that seems important is a dungeon can't do anywhere else. I missed R1 unless it somehow comes back in the future as a retro.

Next year may just end up being completely different as my priorities shift. 2019 was different, 2018 was different from that, 2017 from that.

Now, how many runs somewhere else is different. I want to do at least three runs of each dungeon at GHC. Then, VTD is much better for repeat play as can focus entirely on all of the monster mechanics.

I ran each dungeon once. Mostly an economic decision, tho I would have jumped in another run as I had time available. Especially R1 and R2, as I did not survive them! But getting to room 7 was my main goal which I accomplished.

Down quite a bit from previous years. Most of my GenCon this year was taken up by 28 hours of Stargate RPG.

Six, I guess. The GT run (Ebony Bay). One of each on Friday. One extra Ebony Bay on each of Thursday and Saturday. My husband only did four (GT run, Thursday, and then the first two runs on Friday).

GT, some established groups, some newer groups.

Played on every difficulty except non lethal.

I ended up with 7. Felurian for GT (Thanks again Zorblak), 3 on thursday with 1 felurian and 2 ebony bays, 1 on friday another felurian, and 2 on saturday with my one weird magic and another ebony bay. Only reason I did so many this year was because I was trying to get my friend into TD so wanted to do runs with them and one of them ended liking it so much they wanted to do 1 of each.

I had 5 runs this year.

Since I volunteer, only one. But it was so awesome to be back, with the sound of the gong, and majestic clank of tokens falling on the concrete floor, I can't complain.
It was awesome!!!
