TOPIC: Spell sequencing

Has anyone noticed issues with sequencing that can be avoided? I'm not running until Saturday afternoon.

I can't get any 3 spell sequences to work.

If your sequence includes any AoE spells, note that the AoE spell bonus damage does not carry over to the dice roller and does not display in your app.

If your sequence requires you to sacrifice a higher level spell or have the cleric restore a spell, you may or may not be able to execute the sequence. It sort of depends upon if you have Cast No Mark ability left for that spell.

Finally, I've had an issue yesterday where the app jumped 2 rooms when I click on "Next". I've heard others have the same issue. I can click on "Prev" and get back to that room. But when I advance to the next room, none of my sequences or mage powers were active. It feels like the app thinks I'm trying to redo the room and doesn't recognize this is really my first attempt. This happened to me once during every run I did yesterday and never between the same two rooms. This is not an issue I've had with any past dungeons.

Using straight forward mage powers/MEC on 1 or 2 spells seemed to work fine.

I can confirm that 3 spells work fine on the iPhone, but Spell Storing with Spell Sequencing on iPad does have an issue.

makes sense. The only way I can do 3 spells is to use Spell Storing.

I couldn't get the sequences to work for me at all, but it may be that I just don't know how to use them.

On iOS the spell names are grayed out:



I tried to make a 3 spell sequence of:

Quickened Lightning Storm with MeC
Lightning Storm, no cross off, from Charm of Spell Storing
Magic Missile

And couldn't get the UI to allow me to enter the 2nd or 3rd choice at various points.

I know making this thing work must be very hard. I think for me an easier way to input sequences would be to have the app give me places to fill in:

What I'm doing with my standard action (if any)
What I'm doing with my free action (if any)
What I'm doing with an instant action (if any)

And disallowing invalid combinations. (for example, in my SA I say I am doing a conserved magic missile, when I go to fill in the FA it should just say: "FA Used by Conserve Mage Power" and not let me select anything else).
