Over the past few years I have been unable to attend TD and Gen Con because of some recurrent health issues. A few years ago after I retired, I sold most of my token collection, but I kept my prized +2 Dancing Sword (I was kind of a song and dance kind of bard). I kept it as a remembrance of the great times my wife and I enjoyed at TD with amazing people we met and terrific volunteers. I also hoped to one day go back to TD, but the doctors tell me within a couple of months I will have to start dialysis, and that will change my remaining years drastically. Most of my time now is spent supporting and teaching and helping grandchildren. I have 27 grandchildren. A couple of them have attended TD with me and several others want to go because they know it meant a lot to me.
I’ve made the difficult decision to go ahead and sell my sword. My sword is soul forged to me, so it is basically a collector’s item because it is one of a kind, but maybe you can convince Jeff to find an arcane way to activate the weapon. I would love to know the legacy of the sword continues to wander the halls of TD.
In the past, I’ve had a couple of offers in the $6,000 range. I would give preference to those who have offered in the past, but if you wish to make an offer, I will entertain offers until the end of the day Friday the 28th of May. I forgot to mention that I will include 23 Ruby gems needed to activate the sword.
It has been a privilege.
Widseth’s +2 Dancing Sword
The rapier will fight by itself as long as Widseth is within 30′. Physical barriers do not sever the mental connection between the rapier and its owner. It can’t chase and fight flying creatures, but it can be extended (within the 30′ range) to fight a foe separated by a chasm or physical barriers. While the sword fights, Widseth may do whatever he likes, including attack with another weapon, cast spells, or perform bardsong. Dennis always makes the attack slide for this weapon, even when performing another action or attacking with another weapon.
After the completion of each adventure, Widseth earns six extra Treasure Chips.
Side Effect: At the beginning of each adventure, Widseth must sacrifice a 100 GP Ruby Gem (must be that exact item) to activate the sword’s magic.
What the infamous bard Widseth is doing with such a beautifully wrought rapier is often the topic of hushed whispers in the taverns of Greyhawk. His inspirational song is considered more valuable to fellow adventurers than his battle prowess. It is said the blade is heavily imbued with powerful magic, but everyone knows such powers always exact an equal, sometimes costly toll.
This Artifact qualifies as a unique item for one of the Mithral Sets.
Mithral Trio
When three items are equipped, all breath weapon damage inflicted upon your character is halved.
(There is no Mithral Quartet bonus, but the benefit from the Mithral Trio bonus would still affect the character.)
Mithral Quintet
When five items are equipped, in addition to the Trio bonus, the character gains Deadbane: any successful melee attack from an undead monster on the character deals 10 points of damage to the undead attacker.
Mithral Sextet
When six items are equipped, in addition to the Trio and Quintet bonuses, the +1 Mithral Long Sword will instantly kill a dragon if the player slides a natural 20 and the 8 or 9 on its damage wheel is closest to the damage dot on the combat board.

Mithral Cap
Mithral Chainmail
Mithral Gauntlets
+1 Mithral Long Sword
TaMor’s +4 Mithral Bracers*
