TOPIC: Origins 2021 Moved to September 30th

Looks like Origins is officially moving to the fall this year. They just announced on their page that Origins would be held September 30th-October 3rd. Looks like face masks will be required, and they'll have temperature checks throughout. Full details of their safety precautions to be announced later. They also say they'll do social distancing, which seems difficult but I guess we'll see what happens. So long as I have a chance to be vaccinated by then, and True Dungeon will be there, I'll be there.

So I guess we wait to see if TD will be there too.

That's the next big question. Will TD be there?

I went ahead and booked a downtown room just in case. Since there's no cancellation fee, it seemed like the prudent thing to do. Even if I can get a cheaper room later, it feels good to have that piece locked.

Here's hoping vaccination program is successful and we are back to live True Dungeon by late September!!!!

I'll be booking a room once I get tentative confirmation from people on who wants to go. Registration for more isn't until June, so I figure we should have a better sense of how vaccinations are progressing by then.

Just a caution with waiting. I booked at the Hampton Inn. By the time I made my room selection I was told that the room type sold out and I had to pick a different one.

Maybe the room block gods are kind, maybe not.

Hotel booked! Lol! I think this is the closest I've ever stayed to the convention center.

Face to face gaming will be close no matter what.

I suspect I'll be leaving more than one game early if people don't wear their mask properly, particularly when asked multiple times.

Distancing in picking up wrist-bands and waiting in lines?

Took a look at the convention center current plans which list what they are starting with to reopen. And it has a significantly smaller capacity.
