TOPIC: GHC canceled

Figure this means no home football or basketball games for University of Wisconsin this year either since they attract more folks than GHC.

Hmm. Well, I don’t expect to make Origins, as it’s too far for a one day round trip.

I am sure Jeff will fill us in on the plans for 2020 treasure draws at some point.

Not surprising, but still a bummer. Hopefully I'll see you guys at PAX West and Origins!

For me it would be easier to just carry them over for 2021 instead of dealing with mailing.

Sad news, I figured GHC had the best chance of all of them. Still I commend them for their excellent communication. GHC really is a top quality organization.

Yeah, it's a sad thing. But I got a bad feeling that 2020 and perhaps the start of 2021 will be a dud for conventions of all kinds. I hope I am wrong, but I got that bad feeling.

Sad indeed, as we had planned on attending and volunteering. I am also curious what this means for transmutes/deadlines/treasure pulls/token year stuff/token sales, etc...I, with bated breath, will await the TD official posts/thread.

This is a blow. It's more spread out, smaller attendance, but the rules are the rules.

I will be surprised if we see anything until May-June next year (my guess at enough people being vaccinated, nothing more.)

As for transmutes, I would like to see them extended. Many want to make something, but need the treasure pulls from runs to get the necessary loot. Just buying tokens is far less satisfying than the thrill of the chase.

I would assume 2020 draws will just roll over, but maybe the treasure mix was already made and TD wants to use it up? They'll tell us when they decide, and PAX West and South have not yet, as far as I know, officially cancelled.

Either way, it's a new normal.

Well, this year is proving to be a total wash. My boss is already getting concerned for my mental well being. LOL

Way the elected leaders in Wisconsin has been running things, not overly surprised. Very strict. GHC should have been fine by then.

Well, now time to hear from Jeff, will he postpone the runs and use them for next year? I am doubting Origins at this point, and it's too far away for any of my crew to make it.

Will miss seeing all at the conventions, but it is what it is.

Need to allow 200+ to get college football without fans.

Revenue loss without tickets, concession and parking.
