Greetings All,
Quick question as a newbie. Is there a listing or link for all the various abbreviations that are used on the TD forums? I realize there is a lot of language that developes over time and is taken for granted. Just a bit of a learning curve for us newbies pouring thru old forum pages looking for inspiration (like what's a MEC wizard build). And thank you to all the wonderful and generous members of this great community. My new addiction will serve me well much to my wifes consternation, Thanks..... Spud :woohoo:

Update
Thanks Everyone who replied. Here is my first draft of those submitted abbreviations. I'm sure more will appear but this is a huge help as I pour thru older entries on the forum. Apologies if my editing omitted anything listed...... Spud

I don't think their is a glossary of every abbreviation used on the TD forums, but veterans could probably clear up the majority of them.

For instance, MEC wizard build stands for the Ultra Rare token Mad Evoker's Charm which doubles the base damage of spells at the cost of health, which can be found on TokenDB.

I hope you have a blast playing True Dungeon, and welcome to the community!

Here’s a few:

CoGF - Charm of Good Fortune (aka Charm of Greedy Effers)
RoH/CoH - Ring of Heroism/Charm of Heroism
HoP - Horn of Plenty
RoR - Ring of Riches
Ro7P - Rod of Seven Parts

And a MEC Wizard is also known as a Cutter or Cutting Wizard, because in order to use the power you do 10 damage to yourself. The tend to have more HP (hit points) and depend heavily on the cleric.

Spud, maybe you’ll want to just copy things as people post them, and edit them into your first post to keep things consolidated.

SRoEC. Supreme Ring of Elenemtal Command
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir
