So, does Drake get into the action next year?
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I vote gorgon family, what's better the fighting one monster you ask, why not 3 at once with overlapping powers and buffs.

Uh, you guys beat up Drake and Avery last year (they were the Jeffgorgon's minions).

Maybe next year could be the rise of the Barrygorgon, since that was received so well during the last Raid on Saturday....

Cluelessly my son and I singed up for this, and it was clear were obviously extremely outclassed.

The battle was amusing, and we as a group did like 1500 hp to her (out of infinite?) - all but one died/got sucked into the void, but didn't feel like otherwise we accomplished much of anything for the time spent. There was some cute things that happened, like the spell caster having to fill out forms in triplicate, some other characters hopelessly lost in a maze (extremely difficult logic puzzle) and Paladin #1 getting killed, me (Paladin #2) sacrificing, Paladin #1 sacrificing for me, clerics doing restore power to start the cycle again...

I'm sure for the power players the experience was different, but that was our first, and probably last True Raid. I felt like it was basically $20(x2) wasted. I hope they have better descriptions of the scenario next time.

I will always support fighting the Barrygorgon. Although I believe he should be referred to as the ‘Barrasque’, a creature that only awakens to AC once a year and has not yet had his cold brew or whiskey, and is therefore only fueled by hatred.

I asked Incognito on Saturday and he said he would do a summary post.

Here's a one word summary

Death

My group had both its clerics charmed and they proceeded to heal the Lorigorgon.

We probably did around 3500 net damage. The gross damage was probably somewhere north of 4000.

The only consolation I can offer is that you got to experience something that only a relative handful of TD players have the opportunity to do. As for the power players, we wound up just as dead as you.
