I would agree that I felt the person manning the treasure box was through enough without delaying the line. They asked us for the TE the first time through and when we saw them again they remembered us.

Sure we could have given our TE to another group but in every group I ran in there were multiple people that that 10 CoA to cover the party.

Clearly, if you have a special event for your large token buyers you are very likely to have many CoA in attendance.

I just hope we have more pre bagged treasure, it always seems like its all gone by the time I save up enough chips for a big bag.

There are different colors though.

I believe they also had a problem with people making a sleight of hand roll and slipping tokens up their sleeves

If you were on a run with a senior player, they probably went strait up to the desk and flashed 10 or more CoA's and 10 or more Silver Nuggets covering the entire party.

If your group followed 2 (or more) of those parties pulling 170-190 draws, he just spot checked a few players on that run to keep the line from backing up.

I thought he did a decent job of moving players through. :)

That you did, honestly it was more all the notices and intent of being checked every time that i believe I and most other expected to be fully checked each and every time.

I understand your point Ponyboy as pretty much you ran the desk all con and once you saw our CoA once figured you didn't need to see it again.

The regular checking for CoA(s) on each run would've been better done at say GHC or gencon where you have multiple volunteers/stations running treasure/check out. There it may not be the same person running epilogue all con.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

I think two volunteers would be needed if the intent is to check everything in the epilogue room.

I think it would be very hard for one person to both check all the tokens and watch the pulls.

At least it would be very slow.

Ah, that would make more sense.

And regarding drawing treasures by hand, even though the backs are now all the same I believe some Tokens now have a starburst type dimple on their border vs. the round. Not sure if you can distinguish those by hand though.

I keep forgetting to test this out for myself, but jedibcg mentioned to me that the plastic itself feels different for the darker plastic (relics and trade goods for example). If true, that would be another reason the wands would continue to be needed.

I am not saying that I didn't say that, but I don't remember saying that. I also don't know if that is true. Basically I think someone else said it to Fiddy and he is misremembering it as me. Though it is possible I did say that and did think that.

My party was asked to show our TE's on our first run. The other runs we did we were not asked. But, I'm pretty sure the DM recognized us.

I can validate it is still possible to identify the darker color plastic by touch. I was explaining to Kai why the change was made we examined a standard rare vs the relic baton; there is a definite difference in the plastic.
