TOPIC: Carpooling from Indy(ish)

Carpooling from Indy(ish) 7 years 3 months ago #1

None of my normal cohort is attending TDC, so I find myself with room in my car. And since I dislike long road trips by myself, I thought I'd see if anyone is interested in a lift to TDC. I think I have room for 2 additional people plus luggage.

My current plan is to leave Indy a bit before noon on Thursday the 20th, and leave Carbondale sometime around lunch on Sunday the 23rd.

I'd prefer people that are willing to drive to my house (I-69 exit 214) or that are easy to pick up along my way. Also, a lesser preference for people that I know from runs or local install at GC.

Must be willing to listen to my music (various forms of rock, mostly from the 80s and 90s).

Too long of a weekend for me, or I would ask for a ride. Currently planning on leaving on Friday, sometime after noon and coming home after my runs on Saturday. Also hoping the weather is very spring like so I can 'camp' on Friday night.

I too hate long drives, however I am still trying to decide if I want to carpool or just drive it so I have my car.

I am not sure if it was intended but I added the traditional fortune cookie phrase to your comment. :P :woohoo:

Although there are definite exceptions, I'm usually much more comfortable driving in my car than riding in someone else's.

I prefer to ride vs driving, but there are times when having access to my car outweighs that. So I still haven't decided. Though I am leaning towards driving just because I have so many games in my car I figure it will be easier to retrieve them from my car vs someone else's.
