Do we know what the 2017 (or maybe just the TDC) AOW/Eldritch Runestone effect is going to be yet?

Picc I love you. That is an EXCELLENT question. It might change our 7 token challenge choices.

How about "roll a D20, replace all your stats on the party card with the number rolled (+15 to AC)"

A die roll that actually makes the coaches job easier :)

Can we bring our own D20 in that case? Because 1's across the board sounds dreadful, but 20's.

I actually did that once, for a True Grind, at WYC.

We ended up (due to weird circumstances) with a party of 12. The youngest player was Stu's son (That's Stu-Pendous Stu, the infamous Halfling TD Coordinator) .. so we made him the Halfling (Dwarf) Fighter, and someone gave him a weapon to slide, and I had about 30 seconds to get his stats done up before the combat started.

Rolling a d20 for each stat, he ended up with something like a 15 AC (base 10, plus 5) +20 to hit, +10 damage, +2 ranged to hit, and saves along the lines of 3, 19, 4.

He was a deadly fighter.. but he needed a boost to see the combat board and know what monster he was fighting, since he wasn't much taller than the boards. (He was also a remarkably good slider, hitting a couple natural 20's!)

As long as were doing that we could always go with the classic 3d6 (though I think the printed stats might be better on average)

Just as a crazy idea what would people think about +1 to any stat at a cost of -1 treasure chip (how many times would you pull the trigger XD)

Though Jeff may want to do something more themed to the King Killer world for the special effects this year.

Do we even know if Castle Atlus is in the King Killer world? I haven't read the books YET so I don't know.

I am pretty sure "Castle Altus" is an invention of Jeff's, and a reference to the legendary "Hammer of Foss Altus" ... which has a story all its own behind it.

I'd never pull that trigger. On the other hand, if it was -1 to any Stat for +1 Treasure Chip, I'd have negative stats pretty quickly. ;)
