We have 4 tickets, looking for the rest of the group. We are best suited for HC but understand. Listing character class preferences, but always open to discussion on that.

My partner Kelly and I have two tickets to this event. We've never played before, so we're looking for Normal (sorry). On the other hand, I don't think either of us has a strong class preference, so feel free to suggest what you think would be most helpful to the party. We're working on reading our way through the guides on this website, but any other tips or reading material suggestions would be welcome, too.

That's awesome, new people are fun to run with. Remember to come 15 - 30 minutes before the run so you can sign the paperwork and open your first pack of True Dungeon coins. Spell casting is more about memorization, bard being probably the hardest with the most symbols and least usages. If either of you are tactile people, the cleric would be cool, and if you know tree leaves, the druid has to match leaf outlines to the trees they come from. Other than that, it is' about 2 hours of walking on your feet, and mostly problem solving in our run, so come prepared to think out of the box, and willing to work with the whole group. Also remember to bio before you show up, they do not let you re-enter if you need to leave to bio

Oh on reading material, you got the basics so do that, the resources page has all the character cards you can use, look specifically at 4th level. Not related to True Dungeon but the stories this year are out of the Kingkiller Chronicle series by Patrick Rothfuss, the puzzles could be based on the books from the series if you haven't read them you might, they won't require any extra knowledge though, TD makes very solid self contained adventures.
