TOPIC: DMs: What crazy stuff did players do?

DMs: What crazy stuff did players do? 7 years 8 months ago #1

So we have a thread talking about how cool the volunteers were. I want to hear the other side, what stories are there from the npcs, coaches, and GMs of players doing awesome things?

Every time i heard a bard actually sing, it made my day. And I mean it when I say we have some talented bards. I don't mean "itsy bitsy spider" to piss off the drow, I mean actually talented singing. Hey....that gives me an idea....
Something interesting just happened.

classically trained opera singer in one room. Starts singing "I like big butts" in full range, though reduced volume. Lovely enough to induce tears, but funny enough I could hardly stop laughing enough to conduct combat.

Our first time TD player chose Bard. She jumped right in singing and my favorites were the Drunken Sailor lyrics!

This is from 2013, but I don't think I ever told it and I still SMH.

One morning I was combat DM in room 6 (Cogwind and his golem), and in comes a party. There was a young woman smiling, holding a plastic garbage bag, flanked by her two worried-looking friends.

I started running the room, but those three stayed towards the back of the party. A couple of minutes later an AC came in and spoke with them, took the bag, and headed out. She came back later, had a brief conversation with them, and they all left.

It seems the smiling woman had partied a little too hard the night before, and was very hungover. Somewhere in the dungeon she found a garbage bag and threw up in it, and apparently felt much better, and decided she should carry the bag with here for some reason, perhaps in case she needed it again.

The worst part was, the bag had a small hole in it.

I spent the rest of my shift greeting each new party while standing by the puddle where they'd been standing, warning people to avoid stepping in the "toxic sludge spill."

Eventually, someone brought a mop. But I'd never seen a player with a vomit familiar before or since.

I definitely take offense to this. We Yeti may smell, but not like vomit. Well maybe Ro-gan does, but the rest of us, no.
