How would you tell if it was being played worse?

You!!!
You were the bard with the Vuvuzela?

I hate you. I tried so hard to destroy that instrument, only to have half my melee-based attacks blocked, and you kept making the saves against Will and Dex and Fort checks. I'm gonna ask Eric for a flame-thrower attack next time, with extra bonuses against plastic instruments!

(Seriously tho - you guys were a great group! I'm glad you had fun, and that your party had some great synergy and strategies to get under the monsters' skins.)

I died and was hung in an Eldrich Siper's web for 400 years, but after hearing that horrible instrument dying was my second most horrible moment. The auto taunt ability should be an official rule

So what you're saying is that my Dwarf Fighter needs to pick up a vuvuzela? Of Course, since I'm not a Bard, it would be played even worse...

The cake was not a lie. Plates and a knife would have been a great addition, though.

I thought the cake was really good!

I really liked the Volunteer Break room. THe cake and goodies and a place to go to relax for a bit during the bubbles was very much appreciated.

I was also very impressed with the tear down crew. They just pushed on and worked really hard and collaboratively.

And despite several form complaints of new people getting shut out, I coached a TON of people who had never played before or had only gone on one prior run so it is great to see the new blood IS able to get tickets and have a great time.

The volunteer break room was a welcome addition!

What volunteer break room? I don't recall seeing or hearing about any special room for volunteers!!!

Would it be bad to tell you it had cake? :S

Lori mentioned in some thread somewhere.

If it makes you feel better, the cake is a lie. :)

(Not really...)

It was mentioned in orientation.

It was back in the props area.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

It was so crowded in orientation that I could barely see what was happening!
